Three weeks earlier, on November 30, 2024, he strangled her by grabbing her throat with both hands after she stopped him from driving while intoxicated. After his arrest, he contacted her repeatedly, making her feel guilty. The incidents were described as degrading and frightening by the judge.
Pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intentional strangulation. No previous convictions. Judge Paul Hobson imposed a five-year restraining order and required completion of a 26-session programme, 180 hours' unpaid work, and 120 days' alcohol abstinence. After the incident was reported, Davies attempted to downplay it, claiming it was a quick peck and not sexual, and asked for police not to be involved to avoid prison. The victim felt disgusted, and her mother reported significant mental health impacts on the family, with the girl receiving counselling for the trauma caused by his predatory actions.
Pleaded guilty to assaulting a girl under 13 by touching. Has a previous conviction for attempted rape in 1993. Judge Rhys Rowlands described the behaviour as disgusting and predatory.
