One victim suffered serious facial injuries and required facial reconstruction surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

The taxi driver called police. Kirk was found driving on Wisbech Road, pulled over, breath-tested positive for alcohol with a reading of 77mcg per 100ml of breath (legal limit 35mcg), and arrested.

The baton was adapted by him using his knowledge of repairing bicycles. He was arrested and admitted possession during questioning.
