He also threatened the victim's partner, demanding money and drugs, before being fought off and disarmed. The victim and McMahon had known each other for 20 years, and the incident occurred the morning after the accusation.
Pleaded not guilty and was found guilty in his absence. Has a history of violence, mental health issues including paranoia, and 57 previous offences. Judge noted the offences were serious and he was lucky not to have killed somebody.
