Phillip Walsh failed to provide adequate care for his two dogs, Duke and Queenie. Duke, a male bull-breed dog, was severely emaciated with a body condition score of zero out of nine, dehydrated, and was euthanised to end his suffering. Post-mortem results indicated prolonged starvation. Queenie, a female bull-breed dog, was also emaciated with a body condition score of one to two, had untreated fleas, overgrown nails, and no access to water. This neglect occurred at Walsh's address in November, leading to Queenie's removal and rehoming after veterinary treatment.

Between February and October 2019, while director of Innervan Conversions, Astbury defrauded two customers and a supplier. One customer paid for parts and work on a Volkswagen Crafter campervan conversion that was never carried out, losing £7,590. A second customer paid for conversion of a Volkswagen Transporter, losing £7,000. He also made false representations to a specialist campervan bed supplier, obtaining equipment valued at more than £1,000.

Pleaded guilty to three offences of fraud by false representation, contrary to section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.
