Sentence

On June 13, 2025, at The Britannia Inn in Leek, Jamie Dunn-Fox, intoxicated after a day at work and drinks with friends, became involved in a verbal altercation in the smoking area over a cigarette that escalated into a fight. He struck a man, and when two women intervened to break it up, he grabbed one woman's arm and pushed her, causing bruising. The landlady tried to remove him, but he grabbed her neck forcefully without causing injury. Police arrived; he was aggressive, kicked at officers, attempted to bite one during arrest, and later headbutted a sergeant in custody, causing a cut and bleeding to the nose.
Pleaded guilty to two charges of assault by beating, assault by beating of an emergency worker, and resisting a police officer. Expressed remorse; mitigating factors include being a family man with three daughters and a grandchild, and not normally aggressive when drinking. Has 20 previous convictions for 35 offences.
