Antonio Franchitti, 63, attacked his former partner at the Club Quarters Hotel in London during a New Year's trip. He became enraged after complaining she had not had sex with him, threw her onto the bed, struck her, and strangled and suffocated her. He dragged her along the floor causing carpet burns to her face, and placed his hands over her mouth to stop her screaming. The victim escaped by agreeing to say she was mugged, then travelled back to Cheshire with him before alerting her family. She suffered chipped teeth, swelling, a bite mark inside her mouth, carpet burns, ear injury, and bruising to her face and neck.
Pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intentional strangulation/suffocation. Defence said he expressed genuine remorse, was of exemplary character with no previous convictions. Judge Berkson remarked that the incident was prolonged and had a substantial effect on the victim's everyday life.

When he was about 22, he attempted to rape a nine-year-old girl in her bed and forced her to touch his genitals and perform a sex act, telling her not to tell anyone. Six years earlier, when 16, he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl, inciting her to touch his genitals with her foot on at least five occasions. The abuse only came to light over a decade later when one victim disclosed it during counselling. Hale was convicted of attempted rape, causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, sexual assault, and causing a child under 16 to engage in sexual activity.
Pleaded not guilty initially, changed plea to guilty for some offences on trial day; found guilty of attempted rape and causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity. Teague Birch, a 25-year-old from New Road, New Broughton, Wrexham, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court on 18 December 2024 after pleading guilty to causing or enticing the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 and possessing indecent images of children. In online chats, Birch expressed a desire for another user to abuse a young sister, and the child, who was real, was later taken into care. On 28 June 2024, Cheshire Police searched an address in Malpas and seized devices containing 603 category A, 172 category B, and 199 category C indecent images, mostly moving images of females aged two to 16. Category A material included the rape of a child aged two to four and a 10-year-old boy being sexually assaulted. Birch also possessed prohibited computer-generated images and extreme pornography. During interview, he denied sexual interest in children. His defence cited his autism, social isolation, and limited insight as mitigation. Judge Berkson stated that the perverted treatment of the child was shocking and had resulted in the child being removed from its home.
Pleaded guilty to multiple counts of child sex offences. Judge Simon Berkson acknowledged his autism but stressed it provided no excuse. Birch was also placed on the sex offenders' register for life and given a sexual harm prevention order for life.

The child was found with matted hair, deformities, rashes, significantly malnourished, dehydrated, with a developmental age of 0 to 10 months, and had never experienced daylight, fresh air, interaction with siblings, or recognition of special days.

The victim was about to feed horses when he suddenly kissed her, told her he loved her, and sexually assaulted her. She confided in her mother. While under investigation, Hassall fled to the Philippines in March 2022, where he got married and remained until arrested at Manchester Airport in August 2024 upon his return to the UK. A warrant for his arrest was issued in 2022.
Denied sexual assault but was convicted by a jury after trial. Made subject to a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years and ordered to sign on the Sex Offenders' Register. Judge Recorder Michelle Brown stated he left the country to avoid prosecution and that the victim has been significantly affected, blaming herself but fault lying entirely with him.

Lee Bailey, 33, of Alvanley Road, Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port, raped and assaulted two women. In February 2021, the first victim reported harassment leading to a non-molestation order, and later disclosed rape where Bailey coerced her into sex and left her on a country lane without a phone. In August 2022, the second victim reported that Bailey raped and assaulted her after a night out when she was intoxicated and unable to consent, stamping on her head. Bailey breached bail conditions and the non-molestation order by attempting to coerce victims into retracting statements. He was convicted after a trial in September 2024.
Found guilty following a nine-day trial. Convicted of rape, attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and controlling and coercive behaviour. Described as a danger to women with no regard for others' welfare.

Chloee-May Danvers, previously known as Thomas Quinn, was a registered sex offender. On 15 July 2024, during routine monitoring, officers found two Category A indecent images of children in a deleted folder on their mobile phone, and they had reset their laptop in violation of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). While on bail, on 5 August 2024, police found messages attempting to sexually communicate with a 9-year-old girl and two unregistered social media accounts used to exchange indecent images of children with others, including Category A and B material. Danvers pleaded guilty to making and distributing indecent images of children, attempting sexual communication with a child, breaching the SHPO, and failing to comply with sex offenders register requirements.
Pleaded guilty to multiple charges. Described by Detective Constable Stephen Park as a prolific sex offender and incredibly dangerous individual. Even after initial arrest, continued to offend.

Meltjan Isufi, 34, of Wilkinson Street North, Ellesmere Port, operated a sophisticated drug line under the alias 'Anton' supplying cocaine in Chester. The investigation began on December 23, 2024, with an arrest in Chester where cocaine and cash were recovered, though not directly linked to Isufi. On December 25, 2024, CCTV captured a suspected drug deal on Milton Street; a vehicle was stopped near Grosvenor Bridge, revealing three bags of cocaine. The buyer's phone had a text from Isufi's number advertising cocaine. A raid on Isufi's address yielded a linked mobile phone with over 800 customer contacts, £17,585 in cash, cocaine, and a fake Greek ID used to illegally enter the UK in breach of his 2019 deportation order.
Pleaded guilty to possession of a false identification document, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, acquiring criminal property and knowingly entering the UK in breach of a deportation order. Albanian national previously deported in 2019 for drug supply offence.

Raids recovered 13 designer handbags and 14 watches worth £17,000, along with images of stolen items on her and others' phones.

In June 2023, at Winsford Grange Care Home in Winsford, Cheshire, Donna Gillet, a 43-year-old healthcare assistant, engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a 77-year-old male patient suffering from dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other health issues, who required 2-on-1 care and lacked capacity. While washing and dressing him with a junior colleague present, she commented on his erection as 'a big one', cleaned his penis in a masturbatory motion using dry wipes, asked if he liked women with big bums, allowed him to touch her bottom, and later joked about being groped. The shocked colleague reported the incident, leading to Gillet's dismissal and police involvement. The patient has since passed away.
Pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a mentally disordered male. Judge Steven Everett described the behaviour as wholly inappropriate and despicable, noting the victim was a vulnerable dementia patient entitled to dignity. She was sacked from her job and has not found employment since.

Paul Pickerill, 66, from Runcorn, Cheshire, exchanged thousands of horrific messages with Vicki Bevan encouraging her to commit sexual abuse against a child under the age of 13, which she went on to commit. Police discovered the messages after seizing his phone in April 2021 during an investigation for other sexual offences. Officers also found 141 indecent images and videos of children on his devices.
Pleaded guilty to intentionally encouraging Bevan to commit penetrative offences against children under 13. Subject to a sexual harm prevention order for life and will remain on the sexual offenders register for life.
