Adam Boulton, 36, of Essington Way, Tunstall, was driving a Range Rover Velar when he crossed a double solid white line on the A54 Holmes Chapel Road in Sproston, near Middlewich, ploughing into a white Vauxhall Corsa on December 12, 2024, at around 5.35pm. He was found slumped over the wheel with empty gin bottles in the car, smelling strongly of alcohol and slurring his words. Witnesses described his erratic driving prior to the collision, including veering onto the opposite side of the road. Hours earlier, he had been driving dangerously on the A556 in Tabley. The driver of the Corsa, Paula Chadwick, 52, sustained serious injuries and died the next day at Royal Stoke University Hospital. Boulton claimed a mechanical fault but tests showed none.
Pleaded guilty to all charges. Banned from driving for 7 years upon release and required to undertake an extended driving test. Blood alcohol level was 262 milligrams per 100 millilitres, almost three and a half times the legal limit.

Although permitted to use his debit card for 'bits and bobs', she secretly transferred money to her own account on at least 100 occasions, made contactless payments for over 57 items, and spent £2,500 on an Argos store card for Christmas presents for her children. The thefts emptied his HSBC account, leading to police involvement. HSBC refunded the amount. Culley, a mum-of-three and psychology graduate, initially claimed permission but later confessed to exploiting his generosity.

The victim disclosed she had £11,000 in cash and jewellery valued at £16,000. During a hours-long call, a password was established to verify the collector's authenticity. Ahmed then attended the address, provided the password, and took the items. He was identified via CCTV at the victim's home and Chester Bus Station, where he departed for London. The phone number used was traced from London to Malpas on the day of the incident. He was arrested by MET Police in London on April 1, 2025.

He appeared on Channel 4's Rich Kids of Instagram.

A search of his bedroom recovered two mobile phones, a small amount of cannabis, a 69cm samurai sword, and an extendable baton. Videos on his phone showed him handling large amounts of illegal drugs and cash, as well as a large collection of weapons spread out on his bed.
Previously admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon. Police Constable Ed Whalley noted that Drummond 'wasn’t the brightest drug dealer' for filming himself with drugs and weapons.

However, in court, he admitted he had taken the drugs to the festival to sell to other people.

Brandon Banner, 23, from Beech View Road, Kingsley, ignored a restraining order preventing him from contacting his victim. In the early hours of 27 August 2025, he smashed the rear windows of two cars parked at an address in Northwich. He also made a false call to North West Ambulance Service claiming a 23-year-old man had been assaulted, was unconscious, and not breathing at the same address. Paramedics attended but found no one. Banner was spotted nearby holding a bottle of whiskey, appearing intoxicated, and denied making the call. The phone number used was linked to him, and he was arrested at the location. Officers confirmed the call was false and unrelated to the occupants.
Pleaded guilty to harassment, breaching a restraining order and sending false communication with intent to cause harm. PC Isabel O’Brien commented that Banner waged a campaign of harassment despite knowing about the restraining order.

Ashley Farrall, a 43-year-old former councillor for Macclesfield Central, was convicted of attempting to pervert the course of justice following an argument with his partner at their home in November 2024. Despite bail conditions prohibiting contact, he provided her with a phone to communicate and met her several times, including at Poynton Pool in Cheshire and near her mother’s house in North Wales, to discuss withdrawing her statement. He maintained his innocence regarding the strangulation charge.
Stood trial in August, convicted of attempting to pervert the course of justice, not guilty on intentional strangulation charge. Resigned from Cheshire East Council on Friday prior to sentencing.
Shayna Bowman
Child neglect *

Shayna Bowman allowed her drug dealer, Rhys Farry, to drive her and her three children from a football tournament, knowing he had been drinking and taking cocaine. On April 20, 2025, in Henbury near Macclesfield, Farry overtook traffic, jumped a red light, collided with another car, and crashed into a tree. None of the children were in appropriate child seats. Her two-year-old son suffered a severe spinal cord injury, leaving him paralysed from the waist down; her five-year-old daughter had a broken and dislocated arm and a fractured neck; and her six-year-old son had a broken collarbone and multiple internal injuries. Bowman herself was seriously injured.
Wept in the dock; judge noted there was very little the court could do to equate to the punishment she had already suffered; ordered to complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity and an alcohol abstinence requirement; deemed fit to continue caring for her children.
David Cornick

On September 26, 2023, at Knutsford services on the M6 in Cheshire, David Cornick, 82, from Aigburth, lost control of his Nissan Leaf while reversing out of a parking space. He mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, crushing 62-year-old Linda Whythe against her VW Golf. She suffered multiple injuries, including fractures to her thigh and pelvis, permanent nerve damage, and required four months of hospital treatment, including intensive care and up to seven blood transfusions. She is now unable to stand for long periods and will need a wheelchair permanently.
Admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Described as one of the nicest men in the world by his counsel, with nine character references submitted, including from retired GPs. Judge noted his remorse and regret, and that he has a trouble-free life and charitable work.
Simon West
Supply of cocaine and cannabis *

Simon West was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in July 2023 in Alsager, during which police discovered six wraps of cocaine in a glasses case that he claimed was for personal use with friends. A subsequent search of his address uncovered a cannabis bud in a kitchen cupboard, £1,985 in notes and £15.26 in coins, weighing scales, and snap bags, indicating involvement in drug supply.

Oliver Boswell
Failing to stop after an accident *

Oliver Boswell was involved in a collision on August 11, 2025, at Asda in Crewe, which damaged another vehicle and injured the other driver. He fled the scene and was later stopped by a Special Constable on September 1, 2025, on the A556 in Sandiway, but drove off at speed. He was driving whilst disqualified and without insurance, and was identified using facial recognition technology.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, two counts of driving whilst disqualified, being the driver of a vehicle that failed to stop after an accident, driving without due care and attention, and failing to stop for police.
Sam Carroll
Possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis *

On September 29, 2023, police raided a property on Stanford Road in Chester where Sam Carroll was believed to be living and selling drugs. They discovered cannabis buds, cocaine with an estimated street value of £5,000, digital weighing scales, small plastic bags, approximately £110 in cash, and a mobile phone with evidence of drug supply activities. Traces of Carroll's DNA were found on the bags containing the drugs.
Pled guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis. Traces of his DNA were found on the drug bags, and his phone contained messages related to drug supply.
Daniel Monaghan
Grievous Bodily Harm *

On July 12, 2025, at around 10am, the victim was shopping on Overpool Road, Ellesmere Port, when Daniel Monaghan launched an unprovoked attack, headbutting and punching him. After the victim fell to the ground, Monaghan continued by kicking him in the face, resulting in serious injuries including a fractured jaw, fractured eye sockets, a broken nose, and facial lacerations. Monaghan was identified through CCTV footage and arrested.
Pled guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent. The sentence includes 16 months for the assault and activation of a previously suspended sentence.
Caine Mellor

Caine Mellor punched a 33-year-old man from Oldham during an altercation in Nantwich on June 9, 2024, causing the victim to fall unconscious with significant fractures to his skull and brain trauma, requiring emergency surgery.
