Abdishakur Osman, a 22-year-old business student from Meesons Lane in Grays, Thurrock, stole clothing items worth £11,753 from Harrods Studio where he was employed as a security guard by a security company. The theft occurred on 15 June 2023, with stock missing between 14 June and 15 June 2023. CCTV footage showed him browsing the stock room, selecting items, and placing them in bags to take outside. Previously in July 2023, he returned missing stock worth about £11,000, prompting further inquiries and discovery of the June theft. Items from the second theft were not recovered. The theft was financially motivated due to home problems, and he had a friend sell the goods to avoid his mother discovering them.
Previously admitted stealing. Defence claimed spur of the moment with no planning, but rejected by district judge Susan Holdham. Financially motivated due to problems at home; in trouble with his mother. Gross breach of trust as he was employed as a security guard to protect the items.

The KFC branch in High Road, Leytonstone, was found to have rats overrunning the kitchen during an inspection in August 2022, with obvious signs of rodents and droppings in food storage and preparation areas, gnawed bags of breading flour, a large rat hole in the floor, an open drain in the rear yard, and very poor levels of hygiene where food was prepared and cooked. Customers were ordered to leave due to imminent risk to public health.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to put in place adequate procedures to control pests and poor levels of cleanliness. Victim surcharge of £446 added. Defending counsel stated systems in place to deal with rat infestation and cleanliness were not functioning correctly.

In February 2022, Kurt Zouma kicked and slapped his Bengal cat in his kitchen, volleying it across the room, throwing shoes at it, and slapping its head while saying 'I swear I’ll kill it.' The incident was filmed by his brother Yoan Zouma and posted on Snapchat, viewed by five accounts before deletion. The act was premeditated, stemming from the cat damaging a chair. The cats were well cared for per vet report but were signed over to be rehomed. Zouma faced international condemnation, lost sponsorship with Adidas, was fined £250,000 by his club, and excluded from the France national team.

In February 2022, Yoan Zouma filmed his brother Kurt kicking and slapping their Bengal cat in the kitchen and uploaded the video to Snapchat to send to a woman he was due to date. The woman was shocked and cancelled the meeting. Yoan participated in the reprehensible act against the pet.
