On February 25, Rehan Khan, a resident at Mill Hayes Care Home in Knypersley for people with learning difficulties, became verbally abusive towards a support worker. He threw a coffee table at her, which missed, and then kicked her in the leg while wearing steel toe-capped boots, causing immediate pain and soreness.
Pleaded guilty to the offence. He was angry at the time, expressed extreme remorse, and is able to live independently.

On January 18, Thomas Mellor stole a disposable vape worth £12.99 from Vape Shop in Leek. On June 21, he stole an iPhone 13 worth £500 from ABC Repair Shop in Leek by leaning over the counter and placing it in his trouser pocket. The phone had a tracking device, leading to his arrest in Hanley later that day.
Pleaded guilty to two charges of theft. He acted opportunistically and spent two days in custody following the second offence.

Rosalind Clarke, 58, was reported by a member of the public for struggling to park on New Kingsway, Weston Coyney on May 30. Police stopped her vehicle, and she provided a roadside breath sample and later a custody reading of 131 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than three times the legal limit of 35. She did not have a valid licence, as it had been revoked on medical grounds. The judge noted her high alcohol level made her a danger to others and highlighted a pattern of offending.
Pleaded guilty to drink-driving and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Has a prior conviction for drink-driving in 2017. Described as a binge drinker who cares for her mum and is remorseful.

Stephen Sterry, 63, of Imingham, East Lincolnshire, was found guilty of eleven counts of indecent assault on a girl. The offences took place in Tamworth a number of years ago. An investigation was launched in 2019 after one of the survivors came forward to report the incidents.
Found guilty of eleven counts of indecent assault. Given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order. The offences were historic and occurred in Tamworth.
Vevangapi Tjizoo
Being in charge of a vehicle while over the alcohol limit *

Vevangapi Tjizoo, 36, was found locked in a vehicle in Hillary Street, Cobridge, on May 14, with the engine switched on and over the drink-drive limit. A breath test showed 78 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, against the legal limit of 35.
Pleaded guilty to being in charge of a vehicle while over the alcohol limit. He is an asylum seeker with no previous convictions and claimed he did not drive the vehicle.

Sajid Mehmood, 58, was observed driving on the A53 in Etruria on May 17 at a slow speed, appearing under the influence of alcohol. A breath test showed 61 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35. He held only a provisional licence and lacked insurance.
Pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving without insurance, and driving without a licence. He attributed the incident to stress and promised it would not happen again, having lived in the UK since 1997 with no prior offences.
