The argument escalated into a physical assault where he repeatedly slapped and punched her. She attempted to escape down the stairs, but he delivered a final blow that knocked her unconscious and fractured her eye socket. This occurred in March 2023 at her home in the city.

Charles Harris was arrested on Saturday 2 September 2023 by officers who stopped a vehicle he was driving. Searches of his vehicle found 1kg of cocaine. Two mobile phones and a quantity of cash were also seized. Following his arrest, Harris was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning. His home address was also searched where officers found a further three mobile phones.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a class A drug, namely cocaine.

Between September 2016 and the end of 2017 in Thetford, Mark Wilson twice strangled a teenage girl, on one occasion to the point where she lost consciousness and kept passing out. He also attempted to indecently touch another girl. An investigation led to the seizure of his mobile phone and laptop, which contained category A, B, and C videos and still images that were indecent.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault by strangulation, one count of sexual assault, one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image, and three counts of making an indecent photograph of a child. Made subject to restraining orders against his two victims and issued with a sexual harm prevention order. Victim described his 'seemingly blasé attitude when it came to committing sexual offences against young women' and ongoing trauma including inability to sleep, depression, and emotional struggles.

Erblin Topalli was the phone holder of a drugs line supplying class A drugs to addicts in Norwich between July and November 2022. He was identified through CCTV footage showing him topping up the phone at a shop in Aylsham Road. Police arrested him at a flat in Angel Road, where they found up to £20,000 in cash hidden in shoeboxes and a sock, along with 15 deal-sized bags of cocaine and phones containing messages related to drug supply. He was caught with possession of criminal property as well.
Pleaded guilty to the offences. No previous convictions. Was in debt and turned to dealing drugs to repay it. Judge noted he played a significant role in the operation and will face immediate deportation upon release.

Life imprisonment with a minimum term of 22 years
Nigel Malt murdered his 19-year-old estranged daughter Lauren by deliberately running her over twice with his Mercedes car during a family dispute outside her home on Leete Way in West Winch, near King's Lynn, in January 2022. He reversed into her after threatening her boyfriend with a crowbar and then drove forward over her body. He was totally consumed by anger, and his relationship with his family was broken. Afterwards, he placed her body in his car and drove to the shop where her mother worked. A post-mortem examination revealed she died from significant traumatic injuries to her chest and abdomen.
Initially sentenced to 18 years, which was increased by the Court of Appeal as it was deemed too lenient. Judge Anthony Bate noted that he used his car as a lethal weapon in an alcohol-fuelled rage.

Described as 'dominating and frightening' by one victim, he carried out calculated abuse for his own sexual gratification. The investigation began in late 2018 after police received information about alleged abuse at the school, leading to outreach to potential victims who provided statements. Castles was arrested in February 2019 in Cumbria, denied the allegations in interviews, but later pleaded guilty to the charges.
Pleaded guilty to eight charges. Judge Shaw referred to him as 'an offender of particular concern'. Placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life. Subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order. Seven remaining charges ordered to lie on file.

Later that day, he entered a business premise on Church Terrace in Outwell armed with a weapon, made threats to a member of staff, demanded money, and stole between £100 and £200 before running off. He was linked to these offences and additional incidents in Cambridgeshire.

He demanded gold and money, threatening to shoot the couple and their dog. The male victim suffered cuts to his head after being hit with the gun. Carpenter fled empty-handed, leaving the sock at the scene, which forensic evidence linked to him. He was stopped by police in Cambridgeshire the following month driving a white Ford Transit Connect van matching a witness description, and a seized mobile phone showed videos of him with an imitation handgun.
Pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary and possessing an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence. A third charge of conspiracy to commit burglary will remain on file.

He concealed his actions with lies, including claims of money in a Jersey account, until suspicions from the Reverend Dr Richard Hines led to his exposure.
Pleaded guilty to embezzlement. Repaid the full amount by selling his stamp collection, with Judge Peter Jacobs praising his repayment and stating, 'We have been totally vindicated.'
