In the early hours of Sunday 11 December 2022, Matthew Breaker, from Sittingbourne, approached a woman he knew near Canterbury Road. He launched a violent attack, hitting her repeatedly with a hammer before pinning her to the floor and thrusting a blade towards her face and torso. Patrols arrested him and seized the hammer and two knives.
Found guilty of attempted murder after trial. Pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article. Upon release, subject to extended licence period of 4 years. Cannot apply for parole until two thirds of sentence served.
Mathys Ohoueu
Being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin *

In November 2021, investigators identified a mobile phone number used to send bulk text messages advertising heroin and cocaine for sale in Chatham. Mathys Ohoueu controlled the phone and drug delivery service, known as the ‘bully line’. On 13 January 2022, he was tracked to an address in Lordswood where police executed a search warrant and found him in possession of the phone, around 40 grams of crack cocaine and heroin worth more than £4,000, and electronic scales.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin, and possessing heroin with intent to supply. 24-year-old of Waterfield Close, Thamesmead, London.

Linda Fitzpatrick, 35, of no fixed address, was arrested on 15 March 2021 after being spotted by plain-clothed officers carrying out a drug deal in Great Lines, Gillingham. Following her arrest, she was searched and two bags containing the drugs were located. A mobile phone and £115 cash was also seized.

Liam French
Conspiracy to burgle *

On Thursday 29 July 2021, Liam French and Max Cuthbert broke into an address in Collet Walk, Gillingham, and stole car-keys from the victim’s handbag before making off with their car. In the early hours of Friday 30 July, the offenders broke into another property in Hawbeck Road. The victim became alert to the intruders after noticing torch light beams and called out, causing the men to flee. Less than an hour later, they targeted a third property in Howbury Walk, and stole a handbag containing various items, including a bank card, cash, perfumes, and car-keys, which they used to make off with the victim’s car. Arrested at 3.59am after a police pursuit along Long Catlis Road, Rainham, to the Isle of Sheppey, where they drove at 70mph in 30mph zones. One vehicle stopped after a stinger was deployed.
Charged with two counts of conspiracy to burgle, one count of aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop, and driving without insurance. Aged 22 from Chatham.
Loui Curtis

Loui Curtis, 27, from Gillingham, was driving his black BMW 320D on the Londonbound carriageway of the M2 close to junction 5 exit on Monday 3 August 2020 when it collided with the rear of a blue Toyota Yaris at 12:50am. He was speeding at 108mph and had composed and sent a message on his phone just prior to the collision, causing the victim's car to accelerate by 40mph in one tenth of a second. The 34-year-old victim from Rochester died at the scene.
Admitted the charge. Drove at 108mph in a 70mph zone whilst using his mobile phone to compose and send a message.
Lucian Nicolaie

Lucian Nicolaie, along with Eduard Nicolaie, Rinaldo Nicolaie and Marian Petre, entered the EE shop in Bligh’s Walk, Sevenoaks, at around 3.55pm on 3 November 2022. The gang concealed their faces with balaclavas, ordered staff to sit and remain silent, kicked open an internal door and ransacked the stock room, stealing phones and tablets valued at almost £30,000. They fled in an Audi A5 getaway car which was intercepted on the M25 near Dartford River Crossing less than an hour later.
Pleaded guilty to robbery and burglary. Aged 21, from Barking, Essex.
Luke Barling

Luke Barling received more than £350,000 from 16 separate mostly elderly and retired victims of various frauds, including scams involving fake land purchases, rogue traders, diamond sales, and fake investments in ISAs and savings accounts. He accepted and spent large amounts of cash paid into two bank accounts opened between February and June 2020 during the first Covid-19 lockdown, with sums also transferred to unknown recipients. There was no evidence he was involved in the frauds themselves.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of money laundering.
Luke Carney

Luke Carney, aged 25, was identified via dashcam footage from a Jaguar stolen from an address in Bexley in the early hours of 4 December 2022. The vehicle was recovered in Swanley less than an hour later using tracking software. The dashcam showed Carney returning to turn off the lights. He was arrested on 14 December 2022 near his home in Swanley, where searches uncovered cannabis, cash, slingshots, ball-bearings, and a car key linked to a Range Rover stolen days earlier from outside Swanley train station.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of theft of a motor vehicle and possessing cannabis with intent to supply. £360 cash seized from his address was ordered by the court to go to a local charity.
Luke Gilleeney

Luke Gilleeney, from Gravesend, was arrested in December 2014 when his fingerprints were found on a false registration plate attached to a stolen Range Rover located close to his home address in Grange Road. Days later, Kent Police located another stolen Range Rover advertised for sale, along with a stolen Audi Q3 and another vehicle registered to a family member, all near his home. The combined value of the three stolen vehicles was around £111,000. Gilleeney admitted in interview that he had taken possession of the vehicles on behalf of unnamed associates and was attempting to sell them. Charged in January 2015, he was released on bail but fled to Marbella in Spain. He returned to the UK and was re-arrested at a new address in Meopham in December 2021.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of handling stolen goods and failing to surrender.
Luke Priestman

Early in the morning on 9 August 2020, in Union Street, Maidstone, Luke Priestman, who was holding a glass and appeared angry, struck a man in his 40s with the glass after the victim tried to persuade him to put it down. The glass smashed, causing a large cut to the victim's left ear. Priestman was pulled away by associates and the group fled the scene.
Pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. Sentence included the activation of a suspended sentence.

Luke Samuel, 40, from Gravesend, lured the victim, a man he knew, to an alleyway near Grange Road in the early hours of Friday 27 January 2023, knowing Tyler Lucock and a 16-year-old boy were waiting to assault him. Samuel walked away from the scene while the assault was unfolding.
Pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm without intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place (separate incident). Played a key role in luring the victim to the location knowing the intentions of Lucock.

During the evening of 4 February 2021, David Akande along with Mahei Ahmad, Mohammed Maow and Thami Ngqobongwana travelled to an address near Shorts Way, Borstal with a number of other unidentified men. Once there, the group forcibly entered a house and one of them punched a man inside whilst demanding money. After the victim surrendered his wallet, his mother was also threatened before the gang left the premises. The police were alerted and officers established that some of the offenders had been using a Smart Car. The vehicle was stopped by a patrol on the A2 near Bean just over an hour later. The driver, Ahmad, and his passenger, Maow, were arrested. When the vehicle was searched the victim’s bank cards were recovered from under one of the seats along with a quantity of cannabis.
Pleaded not guilty and convicted after a trial. Also had his driving licence endorsed with eight points. From Aldersbrook, Greater London. Charged with possession of a class B drug, driving a vehicle without a licence and no insurance.
Luke Slater

On 15 October 2022, Luke Slater approached three girls in a wooded area near Ethelbert Road, Rochester, asked the time, pulled a knife when one got her phone out, threatened them, stole phones from two and chased the third, stealing her phone, cash and ring. Arrested 16 November 2022 in Dagenham. Also committed six shop thefts in City Way, Delce Road and High Street between 5 and 21 October.
Pleaded guilty to six counts of theft from shops. Convicted after trial of three robberies and threats with an offensive weapon. Judge found him dangerous, with propensity to violence and substance misuse.
Mark Cranstoun
Rape and sexual assault *

Mark Cranstoun, a 48-year-old man from Strood, sexually assaulted and raped a young woman at his flat just after 11pm on Saturday 30 July 2022. The incident was reported to Kent Police; he was arrested at his home address on 31 July 2022, charged with rape and sexual assault, and remanded in custody.
Pleaded not guilty. Convicted after a trial. Must serve at least eight years before applying for parole. Placed on the sex offenders register for life.
Mark Dinnage
Conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs *

Between March and June 2020, Mark Dinnage used an encrypted mobile phone platform to direct couriers purchasing and supplying cocaine, heroin, ketamine and cannabis. The secure communication system was infiltrated by international enforcement agencies and incriminating details were passed to the National Crime Agency. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate identified him from messages coordinating cash and drugs movement. Arrested on 9 September 2021 at his home in Lesley Place, Maidstone.
Pleaded guilty. High level in crime gang supplying considerable quantities of drugs. Proceeds of Crime Act to be used to recover assets.
Mark Greenidge
Being concerned in the supply of cocaine *

Mark Greenidge, aged 33, of Chestnut Grove, Penge, London, was detained at his home on 10 March 2022 following an investigation into the supply of cocaine facilitated by marketing text messages linked to a dedicated phone line he had controlled since 6 November 2021. Officers seized the handset, a quantity of cocaine and digital scales.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Mark Irwine

On the evening of Wednesday 24 August 2021 Irwine attended a former partner’s home in Rochester where he assaulted her and stole her car. He returned a while later and entered the home through a front window before threatening his victim with a knife. He also made threats to harm her family and shouted at children who were present. Irwine then further assaulted the woman before police arrived and he was arrested. During a search of the property officers found a knife discarded in a bowl of water.
Pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm, driving without insurance or a licence, driving whilst disqualified and possession of a bladed article. Handed a three-year restraining order. Disqualified from driving for five years.

Mark Lindow, 60, from Folkestone, groomed a 16-year-old victim in January 2020 and raped her five times over an eight-month period, with the final offence in August 2020. Three indecent videos were found on his mobile phone. Offending reported to Kent Police in December 2020; arrested January 2021 and held in custody since.
Found guilty of five counts of rape, making an indecent image of a child and distributing an indecent image of a child. Admitted two counts of making an indecent image of a child. Denied charges but convicted following trial. Must serve at least two thirds of prison sentence.
Mark Love
Murder and aggravated burglary *

Life imprisonment with a minimum term of 28 years for murder and 12 years concurrent for aggravated burglary
Mark Love was one of 4 masked men who smashed their way into the rural home of Kate and George Digweed, stole cash and lawfully owned guns, and used considerable and gratuitous violence against Mr Digweed including threatening him with a taser. About a month later, Mark Love and others forced their way into the home of Roy Blackman, subjected him to a brutal and frenzied attack causing severe facial and brain injuries leading to his death, and made off with a safe thought to contain around £250,000 in cash. Mr Blackman’s body was discovered stripped of clothes by his daughter the following morning.
Conviction secured by Simon Taylor and Tom Dunn, instructed by the South Eastern Complex Case Work Unit of the CPS. Case centred on complicated DNA and cell site evidence from a meticulous police investigation following a 4-week trial.
Mark Lumley
Sexual exploitation of a child *

Between July 2020 and October 2021, Mark Lumley committed multiple online sexual offences after contacting children aged between 14 and 16. He had obscene conversations with several teenagers and liaised with another person to discuss plans to travel to the USA where he would pay $700 to sexually assault a child. Kent Police seized a mobile phone containing photos, videos, and chat logs from social media sites.
Pleaded guilty to 20 child sex offences. A sexual harm prevention order was imposed, and added to the sex offender’s register for life.
Mark Steed Shadbolt

Shortly before midnight on Wednesday 21 September 2022, Mark Steed Shadbolt parked a stolen Renault van outside a shop in The Broadway, Sheerness. With another man, he attempted to force a cash machine from the wall using a crowbar, failed, then kicked open the front door, entered, stole cigarettes and parcels into a sack, and fled. Police pursued the van driven dangerously, causing other road users to take evasive action. He stopped in Sittingbourne, tried to flee on foot, and was arrested.
Pleaded guilty to burglary, aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving. Disqualified from driving for four years and two months.
Lee Kitchiner
Causing someone to engage in sexual activity *

Lee Kitchiner helped force the victim into a cellar at a private address in Chatham in the early hours of 10 September 2020, where she was threatened, subjected to a prolonged and violent assault, raped and forced to engage in sexual activity. She escaped later that day.
Found guilty of causing the victim to engage in sexual activity. Aged 18, from Strood.
Leon Wilson
Being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin *

Between 1 August and 25 November 2020, Leon Wilson from Maidstone used a specific phone number to supply class A drugs including crack cocaine and heroin to users in the Ramsgate and Thanet areas. He sent text messages to users who replied with orders while travelling to the east of the county with drugs in his car. On 25 November 2020, police executed a search warrant at his home, arresting him in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, digital scales, £525 cash and two mobile phones used for dealing.
Pleaded guilty. Aged 36.
Liam Braithwaite

A search warrant was executed at an address in Holmewood Road on 9 February 2021. Police seized 36 cannabis plants, quantities of herbal cannabis, digital scales, knives and imitation firearms. Braithwaite was arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences and charged on 9 December 2022 with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
31-year-old. Total included five months for breach of a suspended sentence. Pleaded guilty.
Lewis Barovbe
Inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent *

Lewis Barovbe and Stephen Gillard repeatedly attacked a vulnerable victim at his home near the Tideway in Rochester on 4 July 2022 and 7 July 2022. They were using the property to store supplies of Class A drugs. After the victim panicked and flushed a large quantity of crack cocaine down the toilet, they demanded £1,000. Barovbe kicked the man several times and stabbed the side of his head with scissors. Three days later, Barovbe assaulted the victim again, smashed a mirror over his head, and stabbed him several times with a shard of broken glass. Gillard dragged the victim back inside when he tried to seek help. The victim was forced to clean up blood with bleach and dispose of the broken mirror.
Pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. Judge Julian Smith described the offences as ‘prolonged, amounting at times almost to torture’. Subject to restraining order on release. Aged 26, of no fixed address.
Lewis Cady
Supplying cocaine and heroin *

Lewis Cady, 35-year-old of Perry Wood, Selling, was arrested on 1 December 2020 by officers patrolling Faversham town centre. He was seen sitting on a stationary e-scooter in East Street alongside a known drug user. Officers detained him for a drug search and found 65 individual wraps of white and brown substances, tested as heroin and cocaine with an estimated street value of between £650 and £1,300.
Admitted selling the drugs in Faversham. Arrested on 1 December 2020 in possession of 65 wraps of heroin and cocaine.
Lewis Collins
Conspiracy to burgle *

one year and six months, suspended for two years
Frank Matthews, Jimmy Price and Lewis Collins conspired to steal livery valued at around £100,000 at up to eight separate properties between 3 May and 17 May 2020. The gang targeted stables and other rural premises during the hours of darkness in areas including Faversham, Paddock Wood, East Peckham, Mereworth, Blue Bell Hill, Sittingbourne, Kemsing and Maidstone. Forcing open doors and disabling alarms, the men stole equine equipment before making off in vehicles, sometimes across open fields. After a break-in at stables near Bearsted, Maidstone on 17 May, investigators identified the suspects had been using a Vauxhall Zafira. On the following day, a patrol saw the vehicle in Cranbourne Avenue, Maidstone and indicated for the driver to stop. Officers arrested Matthews and his two passengers, Price and Collins.
25-year-old from Maidstone. Admitted six burglaries and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to burgle.
Lewis Hayes

On Saturday 28 September 2019, at around 10.30pm, Lewis Hayes arrived at the Eagle Tavern public house on Rochester High Street. At midnight, as bar staff asked customers to leave, Hayes spoke to a man in his 40s whom he did not know, they shook hands, but as the victim turned to leave, Hayes pushed him with considerable force causing him to fall backwards onto a table and chairs. Hayes then kicked the victim’s head while he was lying on the floor. Door staff intervened and ejected Hayes. The victim suffered serious head injuries including a fractured skull and remains in serious condition receiving ongoing care.
Pleaded guilty to wounding.
Lewis Oakley
Causing actual bodily harm and making threats to kill *

Lewis Oakley repeatedly beat and throttled his victim before pressing the blade of an open pair of scissors against her face and arm. The assault happened during the early hours of 16 May 2022, when Oakley also slapped the victim, pulled her hair and threatened he would burn her house down. Officers were alerted to a report of a disturbance at the address in Queen Anne Road at 3.30am and within 15 minutes Lewis Oakley had been arrested at the scene.
Pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm and making threats to kill. Further charges of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship and threats to cause criminal damage were ordered to lie on file. Made subject to a five-year restraining order.
Lewis Spratt
Conspiracy to supply Class B drugs *

Lewis Spratt operated a criminal network across Kent with Thomas Ambler, using encrypted communication devices to facilitate the distribution of drugs believed to weigh in excess of 60 kilograms with an estimated street value of £1.5million. Between January and September 2020, he used the devices to access a secret phone network. Arrested on 17 November 2020.
Pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class B drugs. Defence argued he had only been involved in dealing cannabis. Aged 29 from Ashford.

Conspiring to import class A drugs *

Members of an organised crime group attempted to import 1.2 tonnes of cocaine hidden in a banana shipment from Costa Rica at Sheerness Port in Kent on 20 December 2021. Davidson was trained to use a forklift truck to access the container and was arrested by NCA and Kent Police officers.
Pleaded guilty to conspiring to import class A drugs.
Kyle Pepperell
Attempting to commit a child sex offence *

Kyle Pepperell, 36, formerly of an address in Gillingham, exchanged several explicit messages with who he believed to be a 13-year-old girl between January and February 2021. He requested that intimate images be sent to him via WhatsApp, which he also used to post an indecent video of himself. The messages were later reported to Kent Police and Pepperell was arrested on Friday 5 March 2021.
Denied the offences but was found guilty following a trial at Maidstone Crown Court. Charged with three counts of attempting to commit a child sex offence.
Kristiyan Trendafilov
Causing death by dangerous driving *

Kristiyan Trendafilov, from Tunbridge Wells, who only held a provisional licence, took a relative's Toyota Avensis without permission and drove alone on the evening of 7 October 2018 on the A228 at Colts Hill near Tunbridge Wells. Having consumed alcohol and cannabis at a barbeque earlier that day, with blood tests showing significant alcohol and cannabis levels over the legal limit, he lost control attempting to negotiate a bend shortly before 11.15pm and drove head-on into a Fiat 500 carrying an 83-year-old woman and her 82-year-old husband. The collision forced the Fiat into a hedgerow; the woman died several days later in hospital, and her husband died in January 2019 after months in hospital. Trendafilov's car spun into a ditch and caught fire; he escaped serious injury.
Admitted to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving just prior to the start of a trial. Disqualified from driving for three years upon release and must take an extended test.

Kye Hooper, 35, of Third Avenue, Gillingham, threatened a shop worker with a knife before stealing food and drink including alcohol, bread and pasta from a store in Sturdee Avenue, Gillingham, at 10.44pm on Tuesday 15 February 2022. While inside the shop he picked up items, took them to the till to be scanned, produced a knife and held it to the cashier’s face. He then took the items and gestured with the knife towards other employees as he left the store. He was identified via CCTV, arrested the following day on suspicion of robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place, and later charged.
Admitted robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place. Investigating officer PC Ben Slocombe noted Hooper was motivated by greed and used a weapon to inflict fear on the victim.

On 18 August 2022, the victim, in his 20s, went to a flat in Upper Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells, to discuss a dispute over a clothing purchase involving one of the occupants. He met Kojo O’Hene, known by the nickname ‘Knowledge’, who unexpectedly attacked him with a knife. The victim suffered a total of seven stab wounds, protected himself by placing his arms over his head and pulling his legs up to his chest. He escaped, drove to a property in Belgrave Road seeking assistance, where members of the public provided first aid until police and paramedics arrived. The victim was hospitalised for life-threatening injuries. Blood traces and discarded blood-stained clothing were found at the scene.
Pleaded not guilty to attempted murder but convicted of wounding with intent following a trial. Aged 45 at sentencing.
Hamdi Braiek
Causing grievous bodily harm with intent *

Hamdi Braiek, aged 34, assaulted a man in his 30s in Brenchley Gardens, Maidstone, on the evening of 30 May 2021, following a dispute in Week Street over offensive remarks Braiek made about a woman's dress. Braiek pursued the victim into the park, tackled him to the ground, punched him, placed him in a choke hold, and repeatedly stamped on his head while he was unconscious, causing critical head injuries including brain bleeds. The victim was rushed to a London hospital and placed in an induced coma. Braiek was arrested on 2 June 2021 after identification by a PCSO and linked to three further assaults in Maidstone.
Found not guilty of attempted murder but convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, which he had previously admitted. Pleaded guilty to two counts of battery. Will have to serve at least two thirds of the sentence before parole.

On 20th October 2023, plain clothes police in Luton Road, Chatham, saw Hanchard, suspected of drug supply, getting into a taxi. Officers removed him from the vehicle and seized a 25 centimetres long sheathed knife from his waistband, three packages from his trousers containing more than 200 wraps of cocaine and heroin, and £630 cash from his pockets.

Harrison Langford began using online chat applications to groom a 13-year-old girl on 19 August 2022. His messages became sexual and he encouraged her to share explicit images. On 3 September, he travelled from Milton Keynes to Kent, picked her up in his BMW, and sexually abused her in the car, repeating the acts the next day. On 10 September, he returned to Maidstone, booked a hotel room, picked up the victim, took her there, and repeatedly abused her. He was arrested at the hotel after the girl reported to Kent Police.
Pleaded guilty to four offences, including grooming and sexual activity with a child.
Harry Darke
Being concerned in the supply of cocaine and ketamine *

Between 26 March and 6 June 2020, Harry Darke ran a criminal business with Robert Shearmur using an encrypted mobile phone under pseudonyms ‘Basilowl’ and ‘Lizardfoot’. They purchased multiple kilos of cocaine and ketamine which they sold to other dealers, trading around 20 kilos of cocaine and four kilos of ketamine over a 52-day period for considerable profit. Messages suggested plans to use gains for property development. Data from infiltrated secure communication passed to National Crime Agency.
Pleaded guilty. Aged 27. Detained on 15 November 2021. Joint bank account with Robert Shearmur containing £140,000 in 2021.
Harry Garratty
Robbery *

six years imprisonment with two and a half years on extended licence
On 24 July 2021, Harry Garratty broke into a house in Carlton Avenue, Chatham, and conducted an untidy search whilst looking for items to steal. The resident returned home and met him as he was walking down the stairs holding a crowbar. He threatened the victim and she handed over her handbag and car keys. Garratty warned her not to call the police as he left the premises and got into her vehicle. The victim followed him and asked him not to take the car as she needed to collect her child. Garratty then took a quantity of cash from her purse, got out of her car and drove away in another vehicle that had been parked nearby. A fingerprint was found at the scene and the car he used was registered in his name. He was arrested on 27 July.
Pleaded guilty to robbery, theft of a car and theft of a quantity of cash.
Hassan Sheekh
Possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply *

On the afternoon of 9 April 2018, officers noticed a Ford Fiesta linked to drug dealing in James Street. The vehicle was found in a car park. Sheekh returned with Clinton Osuji and they were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Police Dog Piper found 15 wraps of crack cocaine next to where Sheekh had been sitting. Further searches found 12 wraps of heroin and one wrap of crack cocaine on Sheekh. Analysis of a seized phone and DNA evidence confirmed involvement in supplying class A drugs.
Found guilty of possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
Harvey Smalling
Grievous bodily harm with intent *

Harvey Smalling, from Orpington, Greater London, assaulted an off-duty police officer following an altercation at a fast-food restaurant in Commercial Road, Strood, in the early hours of 18 July 2022. The victim and a friend had politely asked if an uncollected order was his, to which Smalling reacted aggressively. They left to avoid confrontation, but Smalling followed, threatened them, and stabbed the victim in the chest with an item from his bag. The victim suffered a serious chest wound, was hospitalised, but has made a full recovery. Smalling fled the scene and was arrested on 20 July 2022.
Pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent and affray.
Ian Baggs
Fraud by false representation *

Ian Baggs posed as a council worker in order to steal thousands of pounds from elderly and vulnerable people living in the Sevenoaks area of West Kent. The scam involved charging victims for bogus work to drains at their properties. Victims were contacted by telephone or at their doorsteps with claims the local council needed to send contractors for urgent repairs or to remove blockages. Between 13 and 16 January 2020, victims aged in their 80s and 90s were duped into handing over bank cards, which Baggs processed through a chip and pin machine in a van. One woman was tricked into writing cheques for almost £10,000. Cheques were cashed into his own bank account. CCTV images showed him using victims’ bank cards at shops and cash machines and phone records linked his mobile device to calls made to their homes.
Pleaded guilty to five counts of fraud by false representation. A further 19 offences, mainly in areas of Sussex and Surrey and carried out over January and February 2020, were taken into consideration.

Conspiring to supply cannabis *

Part of a conspiracy to produce and supply cannabis on a large scale, estimated value over £1 million, operating farms in Ashford, Canvey Island and Hertfordshire between August 2019 and August 2020. Identified from ledger seized from Drilon Dishi. 129 cannabis plants growing across four rooms at his Ashford address.

Henry Okoh
Possessing cocaine with intent to supply *

Continued supplying cocaine after being charged and bailed. On 3 October 2022, police executed a search warrant at an address in Rainham Road, Gillingham, arresting Okoh and seizing seven wraps of cocaine. A second search at a property in Balmoral Road seized further cocaine, herbal cannabis, digital scales, and over £3,500 cash. Pleaded guilty at Medway Magistrates’ Court but granted conditional bail. On 19 October 2022, stopped driving a car in Gillingham town centre; quantities of cannabis and cocaine recovered.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing cocaine with intent to supply, possessing cannabis with intent to supply, and driving without a licence or insurance. Driving licence endorsed with 10 points.
Ionel Stoian
Burglary *

Ionel Stoian broke into John Lewis stores in Tunbridge Wells on 15 September 2020, stealing around 100 items worth almost £50,000, and in Ashford on 24 October 2020, stealing electrical goods worth at least £25,000 after cutting a hole in a window. A black Ford Focus insured to Stoian was seen near both stores and linked via forensics including his blood on a laptop lead from the Ashford scene.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary. Part of a criminal gang responsible for the theft of electrical goods worth over £75,000 from John Lewis stores.
Imaan Farjani
Supplying Class A drugs *

On 29 October 2019, Imaan, aged 23, was driving a Range Rover in Pagitt Street, Gillingham, when police suspected a drug deal. After chase, he and passenger Younis Farjani were searched. Found cocaine wrap under passenger footwell, £465 cash and phones with buyers calling for heroin and cocaine. Home on Rushdean Road, Strood searched: £1,600 cash, phones, SIMs, drug price list and packing items. Text messages showed brothers supplying drugs.
Pleaded guilty. Involved in coordinating drug deals supplying heroin and cocaine across Gillingham.
Ian Woodward
Conspiring to import class A drugs *

11 years and three months imprisonment
Members of an organised crime group attempted to import 1.2 tonnes of cocaine hidden in a banana shipment from Costa Rica at Sheerness Port in Kent on 20 December 2021. Woodward was trained to use a forklift truck to access the container and was arrested by NCA and Kent Police officers.
Pleaded guilty to conspiring to import class A drugs.
