On 11 April 2026, Luan Gjaci was stopped by police while driving a grey vehicle on St John's Road, Tunbridge Wells. Officers could smell alcohol. He initially provided a roadside breath test reading of 69 microgrammes per 100 millilitres (legal limit 35), but at the police station he failed to provide further specimens after multiple attempts. He said he had been drinking with friends earlier in the day and thought he was fit to drive.

On 3 May 2024 at the Princes Park pub in Walderslade, Chatham, Curtis Dixon attacked his former partner and her friend in the women's toilets after becoming paranoid and alcohol-fuelled. He dragged his former partner by the hair, leaving a bald patch, and hit her, causing injuries to her head, right eye, right arm and right leg. He then struck her friend, splitting her lip. The offences were aggravated by a prior battery conviction. Dixon, of Luton Road, Chatham, was sentenced at Medway Magistrates Court.
Admitted one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm; found guilty of second count at trial. Previous conviction for battery in 2022. On April 20, Scott Mitchell, 31, entered the Tesco store in Sheerness despite being banned from the shop. He selected three pairs of headphone earbuds worth £170 and left without paying. Sam Hardstaff, 33, of Maidstone Road, Chatham, entered the Asda Express petrol station in City Way, Rochester, on January 24, 2026, at 3.50pm. He purchased seven bottles of Aptamil baby milk worth £8.79, then returned to the shelves, took additional bottles worth £12.50, placed them in a carrier bag, and left without paying. He was identified via CCTV on February 7 and arrested.
Admitted shoplifting. Has 12 prior convictions, last in 2025. Earns £400 a week as a scrap metal merchant. Apologised to the court, stating it was out of character and he had money to pay.

Steven Hill, a 66-year-old man from Maidstone with liver cancer, repeatedly abused emergency services in August 2024. He made multiple 999 calls demanding morphine, shouting profanities, and threatening suicide. On 12 August 2024, paramedics attended his home on Upper Fant Road. Hill exposed himself to both paramedics twice, kicked their equipment, threatened to kick them, and chased them out. He continued making non-emergency calls until 27 August, totaling 13 calls and 52 minutes of connection time, causing significant disruption. Paul Martin, 40, of Eden Avenue, Chatham, assaulted his 17-year-old daughter and racially abused another person by calling them the n-word at a pub in Gillingham on 19 July 2025. He had been drinking at the time. He pleaded guilty to assault by beating and racially aggravated harassment. The court imposed a community order for the assault involving 150 hours unpaid work and a 60-day alcohol abstinence tag, a conditional discharge for the racial offence, a two-year restraining order, and ordered payment of £114 victim surcharge and £85 court costs at £20 per month.

At around 11.40pm on Monday 17 May 2021, patrols were called to an address in Eccles where Darren Selwood was detained in connection with a disturbance. Following his arrest Selwood urinated over one of the officers and, as he was being placed in the rear of a police van, headbutted another officer twice. He proceeded to strike his head against the walls and doors of the vehicle. This caused blood to spray over the inside of the van and an ambulance was called to convey him to hospital for medical attention. Once at hospital Selwood was aggressive to officers and medical staff, and continually swore in the presence of members of the public. He attempted to headbutt a constable who was supervising him and then spat in the eye of another. A doctor who arrived to treat Selwood was also subjected to a torrent of racial abuse.
Pleaded guilty to three assaults on emergency workers, a racially aggravated public order offence and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. This included the activation of a suspended sentence relating to similar offences.

Darren Turpin caused a disturbance at a medical centre surgery in Brewer Street, Maidstone, on 8 April 2024, where he punched a glass screen that shattered, causing cuts to the hand and face of an employee. While in custody, O’Brian punched and kicked two police officers, causing them minor injuries.

Officers had attended following reports of a disturbance but she refused entry, threw a mobile phone from a window, and subjected them to verbal abuse. When police forced entry, she tried to spit in one officer’s face, bit another’s hand, and kicked and spat at them repeatedly. In custody she scratched an officer and deliberately urinated on the cell floor. She was arrested and charged the next day under the Assaults on Emergency Workers Act.

Jack Wiley, 28, from Faversham, entered the Co-op on Church Road, Murston, around 3pm on 22 January 2024, stole bottles of lager, wine and a sandwich. When followed by staff and the wine was snatched back, he punched the victim repeatedly in the head, continued the assault despite intervention by a member of the public, chased the victim back into the shop, dragged him to the floor and punched and kicked him before fleeing. He was quickly arrested nearby. Charges included a prior theft of cleaning products from Poundland in Faversham on 15 December 2023.

Officers found eight dead rabbits, a catapult, ball bearings, and a hunting knife at the scene. He was summonsed to court and pleaded guilty on 15 February 2023.

Danny Whiskin, a 33-year-old man from Dartford, spray painted 38 postboxes in Dartford, Kent, with gold paint between 31 January and 9 March. He was initially arrested on 13 February and rearrested on 9 March following another incident. Royal Mail estimated £150 to refurbish each postbox and expressed concerns over potential damage to mail.
Pleaded guilty to all charges. Lawyer described client's situation as 'sad' due to only seeing children through mail. Kent Police found 29 spray cans including 11 of gold paint and receipts totalling £169. Ordered to pay compensation to Royal Mail.
Dale Cooper

Dale Cooper, 57, of no fixed address, racially abused his first victim at Maidstone Hospital around 12.35am on 21 April 2021 whilst threatening to assault him. A nurse intervened and ordered him to leave; he replied ‘I have a right to be racist if I want to’ then punched her in the face. He was restrained by three security members whom he racially abused and assaulted further. Police arrested him.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of racially aggravated assault, three counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker and six counts relating to public order offences (four racially aggravated). Persistent offender.

Daniel Hill, 21, from Northfleet, sent abusive and threatening messages on Instagram to his ex-partner Megan Chandler in August 2025, over six years after they broke up. He told her he would 'murder her in broad daylight' and said the streets would be 'covered in blood and guts'. The victim felt scared and anxious and had to change her routine. Hill pleaded guilty to sending threatening messages on social media in March 2026.
Pleaded guilty. Five-year restraining order imposed. Defence claimed no recollection and previous good character.
Albert Ramsden

Albert Ramsden repeatedly stole groceries from a Co-op in Forbes Road, Faversham during a spate of offences between Wednesday 8 March and Sunday 12 March 2023. On Wednesday 15 March, police detained him in Bell Road, Sittingbourne. During the arrest he assaulted three officers by kicking, elbowing and attempting to bite them.
Pleaded guilty to five thefts, three counts of assault on an emergency worker, and five counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order.
