He had sexual intercourse with her in various locations including his car and forced her to perform sexual acts on his friends in a derelict building, sometimes with several men one after another.

Police arrested him in December 2024 on his way to work, finding instructions for making mustard gas and a note detailing an attack plan involving grenades, shooting, and stabbing. A crossbow and knife were found at his home, and his online activity showed affiliation with extreme Islamist ideology, including searches about ISIS recruitment and posts under the handle 'Anglo Jihadi'. He smashed a Buddha statue in a video and posted content about giving up and killing people brutally.
Found guilty of preparing for acts of terrorism, two counts of collecting information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, and three counts of distributing terrorist publications. Romaine James, 18, of Reginald Mount, Leeds, was part of a group of three men who went to a flat in Winrose Avenue, Belle Isle, where Saymore T Kwashira and a friend were staying with a woman. The group had been inhaling nitrous oxide when an argument started between Saymore and James, leading James to stab Saymore in the neck and stomach with a machete on 12 November 2024. Saymore was found unconscious and later died in hospital.

On 17 June, he broke into Holden Smith Law at Cross Gates, stole two laptops worth £650, ate food at the scene, and left faeces on the floor as a 'calling card'. On 26 June, he entered St James’ Hospital and stole a laptop, headphones, credit card, and cash from a surgeon, then used the credit card to buy cigarettes but fled when the shop worker became suspicious. On 27 June, he stole a till containing £50 from a charity shop. On 28 June, he stole a £6,000 bicycle. On 2 July, he broke into a building site using a screwdriver, took a phone, two tablets, and a laptop, and defecated on the floor. Cameron Gloria De Almeida, of Garnet Place, Beeston, used a cloud-based storage account to share electronic libraries of terrorist publications, including lectures promoting violent jihad. A mobile phone found at his home in Leeds linked him to the account. Evidence on the phone also revealed discussions with an unknown individual planning an armed robbery on a delivery driver. Officers seized two balaclavas and a knife from his address. He was arrested on 1 March by West Yorkshire Police and Counter Terrorism Policing North East.
Admitted five counts of disseminating terrorist publications and one charge of conspiracy to commit robbery. Prior to sentencing, arrested on 1 March.

Jordan Docherty, then 20 years old, punched Simon Hackett, aged 35, following a party at the Buttershaw Lane Working Men’s Club in Bradford in September 2015. The single punch caused severe brain swelling and fluid buildup, requiring doctors to remove part of Hackett's skull to save his life. Hackett suffered permanent brain damage, leaving him unable to walk, talk, or perform any tasks independently. He spent years in hospital before moving to a care home, was nil by mouth with all nutrition via tube, and was bedbound or wheelchair-bound. He died in April 2022 from bronchitis pneumonia, with his death medically linked to the 2015 injuries. Due to the time required to establish the causal link and for the case to proceed, the family waited four years for the manslaughter proceedings.
Admitted manslaughter. Previously sentenced to four years in a young offender institution in 2016 for the initial assault, and three years in 2021 for a similar attack on another man.
