The offences took place between 2004 and 2014, starting when Hassan was 16. In 2006, he and an associate known as 'Fred' raped an 18-year-old woman after plying her with alcohol until she was incapacitated. The pair were heard laughing and treated her with 'apparent contempt'. The following year, a 15-year-old girl who had been previously abused was forced by Fred to perform sex acts on Hassan. The case formed part of West Yorkshire Police's Operation Tendersea into non-recent child sexual exploitation in Kirklees.

Her boyfriend witnessed part of the attack via video chat and alerted police. Passersby disturbed the assault. Fortes fled, hiding in a bush before returning to Sheffield, where he was arrested with missing clumps of hair matching those pulled by the victim.

Along with two other men, he sexually abused the vulnerable victim before raping her. The grooming began a few years after initial attacks in 2006. Her phone number was passed around to the men's friends, and Raheel subjected her to humiliation and degradation by boasting he let 'his boys go first' and recording the abuse. The victim suffered severe anxiety, binge-eating, suicidal thoughts, and difficulties in social and employment settings.
Convicted after a nine-day trial and eight hours of jury deliberation. Judge Simon Phillips QC described the grooming as 'insidious and persistent' and stressed the sentences were intended to deter similar behaviour.

A primary school teacher from York, Richard Arthur Oldham, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment at Leeds Crown Court for a series of child sex offences. The 32-year-old admitted to three counts of voyeurism, 14 counts of making indecent images of a child, and five counts of sexual assault during an earlier hearing on 5 August 2013. The investigation began in September 2012 when a pupil reported that Oldham had touched him in a sexual manner while teaching at one of the schools in York. Following media coverage, another pupil came forward alleging inappropriate touching at another York school between September 2010 and July 2012. Police seized Oldham's computer, uncovering videos of him assaulting other unidentified children and over 2000 indecent images of children. Detective Sergeant Adam Normanton described Oldham as 'a predatory paedophile' who 'actively pursued a career in teaching to enable himself a position where he could abuse children for his own sexual gratification.' Oldham targeted children he believed would not tell anyone or would not be believed. Despite initially denying the offences, his guilty pleas marked his first acknowledgement of the crimes.

The attacks between October 2017 and February 2018 involved pumping gases into the machines to cause explosions, resulting in thousands of pounds of damage and more than £300,000 stolen.

Tejpal Sagoo's company, Robin Hood Group Ltd, controlled the operation at the site on Duncombe Road, Bradford, where over 275 tonnes of mixed household, commercial and industrial waste were illegally stored between January and March 2017. Despite claims of intending to ship it abroad to burn as fuel, the vast majority remained on site. Inspections by Environment Agency officers started in March 2017 following a report from Bradford Council. Officers instructed no more waste to be brought in and for it to be legitimately disposed of.
Ordered to pay the Environment Agency £2,400 in costs and served with a Regulation 44 Notice under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 to clear the waste within six months. Judge Batty said 'The whole operation was a sham' and that Sagoo 'had shown a continuous disregard for the environment'. Described as a 'waste cowboy'.

Sentences imposed consecutively on top of current 7 years 6 months for 2016 conviction (conspiracy to defraud, acting as disqualified director, breaching environmental permit via falsified paperwork for TLC Recycling LTD claiming recycling of 19,500 tonnes non-existent waste).
Additional custodial terms imposed for defaulting on Proceeds of Crime confiscation orders: 8 years for failing to pay £1.3 million order from February 2019 fraud case, 14 months (reduced from 21 months) for Environment Agency hazardous waste export order, and 2 months for VAT fraud order. A few years after the 2006 rape of an 18-year-old woman, James, along with Saqib Raheel and a third man, sexually abused a 15-year-old victim before she was raped by Raheel. The girl was targeted due to her vulnerability and isolation, with the abuse occurring in a flat. The case was part of West Yorkshire Police's Operation Tendersea investigation into non-recent child sexual exploitation in Kirklees.

He was located in Bangkok and deported back to the UK after overstaying his visa. Upon arrival at Heathrow Airport, West Yorkshire Police took him into custody. Police seized cash, clothes, vehicles including Range Rover, Porsche and Mercedes G Wagon worth £150,000, plus £25,000 cash, Rolex watches. Judge noted vast personal wealth showed significant profit.
