Anthony Huggins, a 34-year-old man from Bellclose Road, West Drayton, Middlesex, was convicted of historic sexual offences against a young girl. The offences took place over a four-year period from January 2009 to December 2013 in the Shepherd's Bush and Ealing areas of London. The abuse began when the victim was seven years old and occurred at an address in the W12 postcode area, unbeknownst to her mother. The court heard that Huggins carried out multiple assaults, including rape and sexual abuse, exploiting his persuasive and violent nature to silence the victim and her family. The abuse came to light on 4 February 2017 when the victim, then aged 17, disclosed it to nurses during a hospital visit. The police were informed and an investigation followed. The victim had confided in her family around the age of ten, after which the abuse temporarily ceased but later resumed. Fear of Huggins prevented the family from reporting the matter earlier. He was arrested and charged on 22 March 2017.

Ashley James Barton, 39, from Bute Gardens, W6, committed two rapes and an assault by beating against a woman in her thirties. The crimes took place in 2020 and 2021. He targeted the woman when she was vulnerable, gaslighting and insulting her to destroy her self-esteem. He was originally tried in November 2021; the jury could not agree on the rape charges and convicted him only for assault. A retrial in May 2022 found him guilty of both rapes. Despite the evidence, Barton showed no remorse, claiming the accusations were lies. Judge HHJ Duncan told him: 'You didn’t care how much you were hurting her… You gaslighted and insulted her, shattering her self-esteem. You are a manipulator steeped in misogyny.'

Carl Wright, 58, a football coach, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy who stayed overnight at his home to watch a football match. Around 2am on Saturday 17 March, Wright entered the boy's room and sexually assaulted him. The victim got dressed and tried to escape, but Wright blocked the front door. The boy begged to go home and Wright eventually drove him back, later calling it a 'misunderstanding'. Police were called immediately, Wright was arrested the same morning and charged the next day.
Pleaded guilty on 18 July to sexual assault by touching a child aged 13-15 and false imprisonment. Abused position of trust as a football coach. Given lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on Sex Offenders Register for life.

Alfred Rumbold, 65, from Orpington, Kent, conspired with Mark Youell and Brian Wright throughout spring and summer 2020 to import class A drugs using Wright’s legitimate removals company. They held clandestine meetings, discussed border controls, and Wright collected 20.5 kilos of heroin, 32 kilos of cocaine and three kilos of MDMA sealed inside fish tanks, with a UK street value of £4.5 million. The operation was intercepted by NCA and Dutch law enforcement.
Found guilty after trial, denied drug importation charges claiming they were smuggling alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco and cannabis. Encrochat messages attributed to him showed discussions about moving drugs across Europe.
