A subsequent raid on a flat in Holland Gardens, Brentford, linked to him, uncovered an additional 6kg of cocaine hidden behind a bed and inside a sofa, along with £60,000 in cash, a replica Colt air pistol, scales, a knife, a notebook with a 'tick-list', and a large box of disposable gloves. The total drugs had an estimated street value of £350,000.

Linda De Sousa Abreu, a 30-year-old prison officer and mother-of-one from Fulham, south-west London, engaged in sexual activity with inmate Linton Weirich at HMP Wandsworth on June 25, 2024. A second prisoner was present, filming the activity while appearing to smoke cannabis. The video was shared on social media, leading to a police investigation. She attempted to flee to Madrid and then Madeira but was arrested at Heathrow Airport. The incident resulted in harm to the Prison Service, including harassment of other officers.
Pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office. Judge Martin Edmunds KC noted that the conduct compromised her role as a prison officer and undermined prison discipline. She will serve half her sentence in custody and the rest on licence, with a reduction of 95 days due to wearing an electronic tag for 190 days. She has a history of poor mental health and trauma.

On 19 April 2024, at Ealing Hospital, Kreuena Zdrafkova, a 20-year-old Bulgarian woman with no medical training, entered a patient's room while wearing a white coat, stethoscope, medical gloves, and a yellow badge. The patient was in police custody and receiving medical assistance after admitting to taking or withdrawing from drugs. She claimed to be taking blood samples with tubes, but instead injected him with an unknown liquid substance she described as medication to calm him down. She also took photographs of his neck and hand. Earlier, she had been seen examining butterfly needles in the blood room. CCTV showed her entering an ambulance and speaking to a paramedic. Three days later, she was arrested at the hospital in possession of hospital papers.
Pleaded guilty to common assault in June. The community order bans her from entering any NHS facility without an appointment. Judge Fiona Barrie noted that her dream of becoming a doctor could not amount to mitigation. Defence argued she acted compassionately without malice.
Marvin Ogbogbo

Marvin Ogbogbo, then 17, groomed a 14-year-old schoolgirl on social media and lured her to Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex, in April 2019. After the shopping trip, they went to Chafford Hundred Station where, while waiting for the train on the platform, he led her to a sheltered seating area, repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap, and raped her. He fled to London, leaving her in distress. The victim reported the attack in October 2023, leading to his identification and arrest in December 2024.
Found guilty following a week-long trial. Required to sign the sex offenders register for life and cannot contact the victim.

In a case spanning three decades, Colin Moore, a 58-year-old man from Camberwell, south London, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexual offences committed against a vulnerable girl in the 1990s. The crimes, including nine counts of rape and indecent assault, occurred between 1995 and 1999 at locations across west and central London, such as the victim’s mother’s flat and Victoria Station. Moore took advantage of the girl, who was under 16, robbing her of her innocence. The victim, now 41, reported the prolonged abuse to the Metropolitan Police in 2020. Detectives conducted a thorough investigation using voice-recorded interviews and witness statements. Moore was convicted and sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on 26 November 2024.

Sukhkit Bains, 46, also known as Sukhjit Bains, stabbed his acquaintance Michael Martin, 72, in a sustained attack inside Mr Martin's address in St Botolph's Road, Worthing on 20 March 2024. He then attempted to conceal the murder by rearranging the crime scene, including wiping clean a knife, turning over a blood-stained rug and putting his blood-stained clothes in the washing machine. A concerned family member contacted Bains when they could not reach Mr Martin, and Bains lied, claiming Mr Martin was 'in pain' but sleeping. Mr Martin was later found by a family member at 6.30pm on 22 March with fatal stab wounds and was pronounced deceased. CCTV showed Bains entering the property with Mr Martin on 20 March, the last time Mr Martin was seen alive. A neighbour heard noises overnight from 20 March into 21 March. Bains was arrested at an address in Crawley and charged with murder. He was found guilty after a trial at Isleworth Crown Court and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 22 years before parole.

Mark Hemus, a 37-year-old IT engineer from Portishead, arranged to meet two girls aged 8 and 11 at a Premier Inn at Heathrow Terminal 4 on 28 October 2023 to sexually abuse them. He engaged in explicit online chats about the abuse with a contact, booked a hotel room, and brought a rucksack containing Fruit Shoot drinks, sweets, and toys as enticements. NCA officers arrested him upon check-in. He initially claimed he was there for a cancelled medical appointment but later admitted his intention. He pleaded guilty to arranging/facilitating the commission of sexual assault of a child, breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and possessing prohibited images of children.
Pleaded guilty at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on 31 October 2023. Had prior convictions for indecent images of children in 2005 and 2020, and was subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Two years to be served in custody and two years on licence.
