On 4 September 2023, RSPCA Inspector Keith Hogben and Pembrokeshire County Council dog warden Sally Bland attended Alison Denise Silk's property in Camrose, Haverfordwest, where they found 30 poodle-type dogs living in a poor environment overloaded with faeces and urine, with severely matted coats contaminated with faeces. The dogs were housed in a hot conservatory with soiled bedding, no water, and heavy faecal build-up; in rear kennels with no water, empty feeding bottles, and large faecal accumulations; and greeted inspectors barking with matted coats. A vet examination at RSPCA Merthyr Tydfil Veterinary Clinic from 5-7 September 2023 confirmed all but one dog were underweight (many scoring 1/9 or 2/9 on body condition scale), had severe matting with faeces and urine, dental disease requiring extractions or cleaning in 19 dogs, ocular issues likely from irritation or infection, fleas in seven dogs, and matting limiting movement and causing discomfort. Twenty-three dogs were signed over to RSPCA, seven were removed with permission for boarding (later also signed over post-hearing). The dogs received flea treatment, worming, vaccinations, clipping, and further grooming; five young males and one female went to Greenacres Animal Rescue, others to RSPCA care; one was euthanized on welfare grounds.
Pleaded guilty to four offences under the Animal Welfare Act. Appeared unrepresented. In mitigation, expressed sorry and mentioned family circumstances and health issues. District Judge recommended duty solicitor advice, which was not taken.

She pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving.

Steven Delahuntey, 54, of The Whitehouse, Upper Market Street, Haverfordwest, stalked a woman in the same block of flats between January 17 and February 6 by contacting Dyfed-Powys Police for welfare checks, turning up at her address, and sending numerous unwanted messages. Victim described initial friendliness turning critical and causing constant anxiety.
Convicted after trial. Solicitor highlighted anxiety and depression from childhood experiences, no further contact with victim, and efforts to find new accommodation.

He appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on 18 April and was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He must also pay costs of £85 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £160.

Pleaded guilty. No previous convictions. Holidaying in Pembrokeshire at the time; daughter fell ill and he was seeking painkillers. Very remorseful and will lose job as delivery driver.

Rosie Phillips, 18, of Elm Lane, Milford Haven, was stopped by officers just before 11pm on December 20 as she drove her Corsa through Precelly Place, Milford Haven. She was almost four times over the legal drug-drive limit with 9.1mcg of Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol in her system (legal limit 2). The vehicle was being driven without third party insurance and its MOT had expired. She was a provisional licence holder without a suitable passenger. She pleaded guilty to driving over the specified drug limit, driving without a valid test certificate, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without third party insurance.
Pleaded guilty to all offences. Defendant deeply regrets actions and described as mortified. One-off immature error of judgement. Has stopped taking cannabis and now goes to the gym regularly.

Thirty-nine-year-old Natalie Morris of Bush Row, Haverfordwest, was responsible for a 12-year-old bay gelding horse called Ben. The horse was found in an emaciated condition with a body score of 1/5 and severe rain scald on his back after Morris failed to provide adequate nutrition and protection against adverse weather. She took delivery of the horse in December 2021. Following a trial on 30 March 2023 she was found guilty and sentenced on 6 April 2023.
Pleaded not guilty to two animal welfare offences; found guilty in absence after one-day trial. Maintained she was not the owner but court found her responsible for the horse's care.

Pleaded guilty to breaching the restraining order. Solicitor noted considerable progress in the defendant's life and that the victim had begun proceedings to discharge the order.
