On 17 December, Dominika Wisniewska, a 41-year-old woman from Hastings, repeatedly stalled her car in the Morrisons car park. When two Morrisons employees tried to help with the stalled vehicle, she slapped one worker and spat at another. After her arrest, she continued to assault police officers in custody by kicking and spitting at them.

On 29 November 2023 at about 8.30am, Stuart Hutchinson turned his Nissan Qashqai abruptly across the path of a motorcyclist on the A259 at Hooe, near Bexhill, while trying to avoid queuing traffic. The motorcyclist had no time to react and sustained life-changing injuries including broken legs, broken arms, broken shoulder blades, spinal injuries, multiple dislocations, damage to an Achilles tendon and broken bones in his hands. Hutchinson admitted causing serious injury by careless driving.

On April 4 at 5:24pm, Louise Willard was driving a white Vauxhall Corsa in Bexhill. A member of the public reported her clipping kerbs on the A259 Marsh Road, and another report stated she crashed into a parked Audi A4 on Turkey Road before driving off. Police stopped her shortly after. She failed a roadside breath test, blowing 94mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, almost three times the legal limit. Her own dash cam captured her swerving and clipping kerbs for miles.
