He was not present during the attack but contacted co-conspirators and visited the address shortly after. Co-defendants Mohammed Ishaq, Kaleem Ullah Khan, and Nowshad Mohammed pleaded guilty to their roles.

On August 12, 2024, Kevin Bennett, aged 43 from Sheldon Heath Road, Stechford, called his sister using his girlfriend's phone and threatened to kill her in a rage, believing she had suggested his girlfriend break up with him. He repeatedly threatened her life, warned he knew where she lived, causing her to hyperventilate in panic and flee her Birmingham home to London. He also threatened their mother over the phone, saying he was paying people to hurt his sister and that she could get hurt if she intervened. The next day, he apologised but claimed he couldn't remember due to drinking. He later wrote apology letters and has since improved his mental health treatment in custody.

Banaras Malang, aged 33, of Wandle Grove, attempted to convert nine Turkish-manufactured top-venting blank-firing guns (TVBF) into deadly live-firing weapons at his home in Tyseley, Birmingham. He purchased the weapons from legitimate UK sellers and acquired specialist equipment for conversion, using fake names, false addresses, and exploiting a vulnerable man's bank card to order parts delivered to an Erdington address. The police investigation started after receiving information about the orders, leading to his arrest on January 28, 2024. A search recovered the nine guns, conversion setup, parts, and ammunition-making equipment. The guns were deemed illegal as they were readily convertible, and Malang was convicted as if possessing live-firing weapons.

He was next to a silver Honda CR-V when Mohamoud Mahamoud arrived in a white Peugeot Partner van and passed a black holdall containing 21 kilograms of cocaine to the Honda. Police intervened and seized the holdall, then discovered additional holdalls and bags in the van containing a further 81 kilograms of cocaine, with an overall street value of up to £10.2 million. Vorster admitted conspiracy to supply a class A drug.

Benjamin Holt, 43, a dog breeder from Horam, East Sussex, was the driver of a silver Honda CR-V that was used in a drug deal on 10 April 2024 in Allman Road, Sutton Coldfield. During a prearranged meeting, Mohamoud Mahamoud transferred a black holdall containing 21 kilogram blocks of cocaine from his white Peugeot Partner van to Holt’s vehicle, while Adam Vorster stood nearby. Police arrested all three at the scene. A subsequent search revealed further holdalls and bags in the van holding a total of 81 additional kilogram blocks of cocaine, bringing the seizure to 102 kilograms with an estimated street value of up to £10.2 million. Holt admitted conspiracy to supply a class A drug.
