On 7 March 2026, Andrew McNab targeted the Boots store in Telford, stealing three Dior fragrances with a combined value of £256.00. In the process of committing the theft, he also caused significant damage to a Dior fragrance cabinet.

On 7 November 2025, Theo Kelly, a 30-year-old from Overbury Road, Birmingham, was driving a white BMW 320i M Sport Auto near Telford Shopping Centre when stopped. Tests revealed 3.2ug of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis derivative) in his blood, exceeding the legal limit.

Saraya Basica, 20, of Princess Avenue, Arleston, committed three thefts from shops between 5 March and 6 March 2026. On 5 March, she stole laundry products, clothing, body care items, and toiletries valued at £656.21 from Home Bargains. On 6 March, she stole £315 worth of household items, consumables, and cleaning products from the same store, and also stole items including toilet roll, shampoo, Coca-Cola, Ariel pods, Lenor Unstoppables, crisps, coffee, cakes, biscuits, Dove body wash, Celebration pouches, large Kinder eggs, and various confectionery valued at £315 from a Co-op store in Telford. Total value stolen exceeded £1,200.

Gareth Higgins, aged 45, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of 11 counts of theft from shops in Shrewsbury. He was sentenced at Telford Magistrates Court on 18 February 2026 to six months in prison and given a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from a number of named retail premises in the town.

Claire Hopkinson, a Telford resident, fraudulently claimed £3,261.65 in Statutory Sick Pay between March 28 and October 28, 2024, by submitting false FIT notes and sending messages claiming hip pain prevented her from working, including inability to walk, drive, or perform duties as a personal assistant. She fabricated hospital stays and a hip replacement operation. In reality, she worked as a personal assistant for two individuals through a private care company and ran her own body piercing business. She was interviewed under caution by Telford & Wrekin Council officers and admitted the deception.

Charlotte Corbett, 25, of no fixed address, breached a Criminal Behaviour Order issued in March by entering and stealing from prohibited stores in Telford. She committed two thefts from Boots in Wellington and one theft from Co-op in Stirchley on or before October 26, 2025. She was arrested on October 26, 2025.

Alex Smith stole a bottle of Cherry Sourz worth £10 from a Co-op store in Wem on 30 April 2026. He pleaded guilty at Telford Magistrates Court to theft from a shop.

Rebecca Hitchin, 44, of no fixed abode, admitted a series of shoplifting offences in Telford, mainly targeting Tesco stores. She appeared before the court and pleaded guilty to theft from stores. The offending caused disruption and financial losses for local businesses.
