Matthew Smither, aged 26, of Fifield Road, groomed and sexually abused a 10-year-old boy over a number of years, developing a close relationship and sending sexually inappropriate messages via digital devices. A parent contacted police in December over concerns. Smither was arrested on December 18, admitted to sending the messages and engaging in inappropriate behaviour during his police interview, and was charged the next day.
Pleaded guilty to causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, engaging in sexual communications with a child, and meeting with a child under 16 following grooming. Given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
Gerwyn Williams
Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs *

On January 26, officers stopped a black Vauxhall Mokka on Lower Earley Way, driven by Williams. He was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act, revealing four tinted wraps of crack cocaine and eight wraps of heroin in his sock, plus a phone and £160 cash. Officers then searched his home under Section 8 PACE warrant, finding 47 wraps of crack cocaine, over 40g of heroin, and nearly 7g of crack cocaine, with a total street value of around £4480.

Daniel Inman, 34, of Kingsquarter, Maidenhead, was arrested on January 19, 2026, during a 'concern for welfare' visit at a property in Bracknell. Police spotted him inside while talking to a resident and entered to search because he was wanted for a separate offence. He was found with 12 wraps of heroin concealed in his underwear, multiple phones, portable weighing scales, and £310 in cash. The phones contained 'bulk drug supply messages' advertising heroin, indicating street-dealing level supply. He gave 'no comment' answers when questioned and claimed the drugs were for personal use, but pleaded guilty at his first court hearing. He was charged on January 20, 2026.

On 7 December 2022, Slough East Neighbourhood officers stopped Ramin Ibrahim’s red Mercedes-Benz on Langley Road at around 5:10pm. A search revealed £13,600 in £20 notes in a large white linen bag and another £1,600 in the glove box, totalling £15,200 cash seized. Also found were a tube labelled “cannabois” and a baseball bat. In custody, strip-search uncovered 49 blue MDMA tablets with a Porsche logo worth £490, a Kinder egg with three plastic wraps of drugs valued at £90, and 0.411g of cocaine valued at £40.

This was part of a series of violent incidents, including stabbings, in Watford during the summer of 2024.

A subsequent assault involved performing oral sex on the pupil during a school trip. Leland was trusted by a housemaster to look after students.

Victims were persuaded to transfer funds on the promise of risk-free returns, but no investments existed, resulting in the theft of £124,479 from 17 known victims. The crimes were uncovered by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) in partnership with South Wales Police.
Pleaded guilty to 17 counts of fraud by false representation on September 10. Showed complete disregard for the damage caused, exploiting trust in victims' social media accounts.

Rashane Odle-Mcleod spent hours prowling near the Kennet Walk estate in Reading, armed with a knife and ready to strike. Knowing his victim was close by, he waited in the shadows. Just after 9pm on 9 April 2025, the victim—a man in his twenties—walked into a dark alley. Odle-Mcleod launched a brutal assault, stabbing him over a dozen times across his body and face. The frenzied attacker continued even as the victim lay helpless on the ground. After the savage attack, Odle-Mcleod rifled through the victim’s pockets, stealing a mobile phone before running off.
Jury found him guilty of attempted murder. Admitted to carrying a knife weeks earlier but was cleared of trying to pervert the course of justice.

Ibrahim Ali

Ibrahim Ali, 36, of Percy Place, Datchet, Berkshire, carried out sexual assaults by touching on five women while working as a masseur at the Nirvana Spa in Wokingham, Berkshire. The assaults occurred between November and December 2024 during back and foot massages. He was charged with four counts in July 2025 and a further count in September 2025.
Pleaded guilty to five counts of sexual assault by touching. Judge Jane Rowley commented that he abused his position of trust and is a danger to women when alone with them. A sexual harm prevention order for 10 years was imposed. Ordered to pay £500 compensation to each of the five victims plus £500 to two other women.

He arranged to meet the girl at Merstham Railway Station in Surrey on July 21 with the intention of taking her home for sexual activity. He travelled to the station and attempted to call her, but was arrested by South East Regional Organised Crime Unit officers at the scene.
Pleaded guilty to arranging the commission of a child sexual offence, attempted sexual communication with a child, attempting to incite a child to commit a sexual offence, and attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act. Poses a serious risk to children, as stated by case investigator Colin Haynes.

A search of an address linked to him also uncovered an extendable baton.

Brooks claimed the encounter was consensual and alleged the 16-year-old lied about her age. He was arrested in January 2021.

Between January and February 2024, Mark Weedon used online chat platforms to communicate with a 13-year-old boy, disguising his identity with usernames such as 'Jez_Light' and 'JLightUK'. He arranged to meet the boy in Windsor on February 1, 2024, but was arrested by police. A search of his car revealed condoms, lubricants, syringes, and heavy-duty tape, while a nearby hotel room he booked contained adult toys, lubricant, and rope. Examination of his devices uncovered a large number of images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo photograph of a child and one count each of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, arranging/facilitating the commission of sexual activity with a child – penetration, and possessing an extreme pornographic image of an animal. Detective Constable Petar Stoyanov commented that Weedon is a nasty individual who planned to commit sexual offences against a child and has been brought to justice.

Adam Bench committed multiple sexual offences against children between 2010 and 2022 in West Drayton, including seven counts of sexual activity with a female child under 16, six counts of sexual assault of a female child under 13, four counts of rape of a female over 16, two counts of assault of a female child under 13 by penetration, and one count of inciting a female child under 16 to engage in sexual activity. Additional sexual assaults occurred in Windsor at a later date. On 25 June 2024, Matthew Charles Wootten, 44, of Great Kimble, drove along Missenden Road, Aylesbury, and deliberately steered towards Victory Gate at the entrance to the Prime Minister’s residence, Chequers, instead of following the bend in the road. He made no attempt to slow down and smashed through the 80-year-old oak gates, causing £32,641 worth of damage to the gate and £6,000 to the bollards behind it, totaling over £38,000. Several cans of alcohol were found in his car, and his blood alcohol level was 221 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood, almost three times the legal limit of 80mg. CCTV footage showed he intentionally drove at speed towards the gates.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, damaging property being reckless as to whether life is endangered, and driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit. Also disqualified from driving for 40 months.

Several cans of alcohol were found in the vehicle, and he was apprehended by armed police.

He targeted vulnerable women, including those who were pregnant or had experienced abusive relationships, exploiting his role as a trusted doctor. Charlie Gosden, 22, of Cambridge Road West, Farnborough, was caught by a sniffer dog attempting to enter Reading Festival on August 21, 2024, at around 3pm. A search revealed he was carrying large quantities of drugs, including 53 bags of MDMA, 53 tablets of 2C-B, 0.39 grams of ketamine, 29.7 grams of magic mushrooms, and 39.5 grams of LSD disguised as a chocolate bar. Police seized his mobile phone, which contained 17,219 messages consistent with drug supplying activities. He was charged on January 31 and sentenced following these events.
Pled guilty to two counts of being involved in the supply of class A drugs (cocaine and magic mushrooms), two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (2C-B and MDMA), one count of being involved in an offer to supply a class A drug (LSD), and one count of possession with intent to supply a class B drug (ketamine).
