Lee Ramsay, 41, formerly of Parliament Street, Morecambe, was found in possession of thousands of indecent images of children. He had been made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) in January 2024. In July and October of the previous year, his offender manager from Lancashire Police seized his mobile phones. Examination revealed more than 3,000 indecent images, many featuring children, including 1,159 of the most serious Category A images. The phones contained browsers with private search facilities and VPN software, enabling Ramsay to hide his identity online, in breach of the SHPO. He also used a live streaming service without authorisation, further breaching the order. He pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court and was sentenced to a total of four years and four months in prison.
Pleaded guilty to six indecent images offences and eight breaches of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. The order was imposed in January 2024. Offender manager seized phones in July and October of the previous year, revealing over 3,000 indecent images (1,159 Category A). Ramsay used software with VPN and private browsing to hide his identity, breaching the order.
