He had previously entered the property without permission to check the fuse board, despite failing to allow a Cherwell District Council environmental health officer to inspect the electrics. The tenancy agreement was removed during the eviction, and the tenant's cat disappeared. Despite warnings from the council and police, Khattak ignored requests for the tenant to re-enter her home. Luiz Inacio Da Silva Neto opportunistically targeted two men in November and December 2021, spiking their drinks with an unknown stupefying drug, thought to be GHB or GBL, before sexually assaulting them. The first victim was assaulted at a house in Middle Barton, Oxfordshire, after consuming shots of Jagermeister; he fell asleep fully clothed, woke up naked, and noticed a syringe in the kitchen. The second victim, a married man, was on a night out at Raffles nightclub in central London; he felt strange after a dark brown liquid was held to his lips, and woke up naked in a strange room.
Found guilty after trial of rape, two counts of administering a substance with intent, and two counts of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent. Previously admitted seven counts of drug possession including MDMA, methylamphetamine, cocaine, ketamine and cannabis.

Benjamin Field, a former church warden, murdered Peter Farquhar, a 69-year-old university lecturer, in October 2015 by secretly administering tranquiliser drugs and spiking his whisky as part of a plan to inherit his house and money. He also manipulated and entered into fraudulent relationships with pensioners, including Ann Moore-Martin, by deceiving them into changing their wills, and faked messages from God to control them.
Admitted to fraudulent relationships; judge noted he lived by deception, manipulated people, and murdered the victim by drugging and possibly suffocating him.

Ben Field, a former church warden, gaslit and abused his neighbours Peter Farquhar and Ann Moore-Martin through fake romantic relationships to defraud them. He drugged 69-year-old Farquhar with hallucinogens from the early 2010s, making him the sole beneficiary of his will, and murdered him in 2015 by staging it as alcohol poisoning. Field targeted 83-year-old Moore-Martin similarly, writing fake divine messages to manipulate her will, and defrauded her until her natural death in 2017. Arrested in 2018 after suspicion from Moore-Martin's niece, he documented his plans in poetry, journals, and videos, including methods to kill Moore-Martin.
Found guilty of murdering Peter Farquhar after a three-month trial. Admitted to fraud against both victims but denied murder charges initially. No remorse shown. On 30 December 2016, Lavinia Woodward, a 24-year-old medical student at Christ Church, Oxford, stabbed her boyfriend, a Cambridge University student, in the lower leg with a bread knife during an argument in her Oxford accommodation. The incident occurred after she had been drinking and became angry when he contacted her mother for help. She threw objects, picked up the knife, and stabbed him while he called 999. She was restrained as she attempted to harm herself. The injuries were relatively minor. Woodward was deeply distraught and mentally disturbed at the time, influenced by her addictions to Class A drugs and alcohol, and an eating disorder.
Pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding. No previous convictions. Described as genuinely remorseful and having overcome addictions through treatment. Judge noted her emotional instability, eating disorder, and alcohol/drug dependence.

Naquan Davis

On 14 May 2019 near the Burger King on the A41 in Bicester, Davis threatened a 16-year-old boy at knifepoint while his accomplice punched the victim. They stole a pair of Balenciaga leather hi-top trainers. The victim escaped serious injury but was left shaken. Davis was arrested on 19 January 2020 and charged on 19 February 2020.

Nigel Harding

Nigel Harding, 64, of Crosslands Drive, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, was convicted in 2016 at Chester Crown Court for possessing child pornographic images, resulting in a two-year custodial sentence, a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, and notification requirements. Between August and October 2023, he breached the order by moving in with a woman and her two daughters under 16 without notifying police, and by deleting internet history and apps like Telegram, Wickr, Mega, Kik, Session, and Teleguard, and using Snapchat and incognito mode to avoid recording of internet activity. The woman was unaware of his criminal history. He was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on November 25.
Prior conviction in 2016 for child pornographic images. Robert John Dando

In the first incident he pushed past the victim as she opened the door; in the second he pretended to be carrying out a survey and forced her onto a bed; he used violence in the last attack. He was arrested on 24 May 2016 and initially denied wrongdoing but later pleaded guilty after being linked to the offences via DNA, automatic number plate recognition, mobile phone and cell site analysis, and phone billing evidence.
Pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault on a female over 16. Prior 2015 offence in Hethe, Oxfordshire, was laid on file. Described as 'calculated, ruthless and dangerous' by the Crown Prosecution Service.
Rick Passway

Rick Passway, a taxi driver from Bunce Road, Swindon, committed a catalogue of sexual abuse against six women and girls in the 1970s and 1980s in locations including Wantage, Faringdon and Fairford. Offences included the rape of a woman in Faringdon in the mid-80s days after her hysterectomy in Swindon, repeated sexual abuse of a child and teenager over several years, and indecently touching four other victims aged eight to 14.
Found guilty over two trials of 22 counts including six counts of rape, indecent assault and indecency with a child. Judge Nigel Daly imposed an extended year on licence. No remorse shown. Defendant was 77 at sentencing and will be in his 90s before eligible for parole.
Peter Gibbs

Peter Gibbs, a 60-year-old former school bus driver from Carterton, Oxfordshire, committed child sexual offences spanning over two decades. In the early 2000s, he indecently assaulted and raped a 14-year-old girl in his car and on a bus where he worked. The victim reported the rape to her GP in 2001 but the case was initially dropped. In 2021, a school reported Gibbs had been messaging a 15-year-old student. Police found six naked photographs of a 13-year-old girl on his device, leading to charges of sexual communication with a child and making indecent images in 2022. Victim impact statements described the lasting harm caused.
Pleaded guilty to sexual communication with a child and making indecent images. Historic offences included two counts of indecent assault and one count of rape. Judge Michael Gledhill remarked: "You ought to be thoroughly disgusted with yourself." Defence stated he was remorseful.
Peter J King
Making and possessing indecent images of children *

Peter J King, a 63-year-old Oxford University philosophy lecturer, was found with over 3,000 indecent images of children, including girls as young as five, during a police search in August 2018. He claimed the material was for research but had accessed a Russian file-sharing site to obtain them. He admitted to a compulsion to view such images. The offences involved making and possessing prohibited images. He was suspended by Pembroke College on 19 February 2020 and sentenced the following day at Oxford Crown Court.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of a child and one count of possessing prohibited images of a child. Also given a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Had a prior caution in 2008 for similar images. Judge Lamb noted he accepted his guilt 'rather late' and criticised his comparison of the collection to a sticker collection.
Philippa Curtis

Philippa Curtis, aged 21, of Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk, was driving at 70mph when she ploughed into the back of Victoria McBryde’s stationary Peugeot 106 on 20 November 2007 on the A40 near Wheatley. Phone records showed she had sent more than 20 text messages and made several calls during her journey from Suffolk to Oxford. Miss McBryde had pulled over due to a burst tyre and was waiting for the RAC. Curtis also collided with a white van and an Asda lorry, resulting in Miss McBryde being crushed against a concrete wall and dying from a serious head injury.
Found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving. Judge Julian Hall commented on the need for 100% concentration while driving and criticised mobile phone use. She had sent texts and made calls prior to the crash.

The offending stopped when Holmes moved away. The victim disclosed the seven-year ordeal after Holmes contacted the victim's father via social media.

Martin Rodger, a 29-year-old resident of Murdock Road, Bicester, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on 21 November 2023. He was sentenced for possessing prohibited images of children and breaching a sexual harm prevention order for the fourth time. In May 2023, authorities found he had an Xbox console with a USB stick and a pink Amazon tablet containing AI-generated images depicting the sexual abuse of children aged between two and 12 years old. The images were manga-style and showed children naked in various poses. Rodger had previously been convicted in July 2021 for possession of indecent images of children, leading to the original order. His defence counsel cited a difficult background including adoption, home-schooling, homelessness, and chronic pain, but Judge Emma Nott emphasised he needed to take responsibility. The court also ordered destruction of his electronic devices.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order and one count of possessing prohibited images of children. Had five prior convictions for 13 offences, including four previous breaches of similar orders. Judge Emma Nott stated: 'This is your fourth set of breaches. You just haven't stopped and this is the problem you face today.'
Martyn Rodger

Martyn Rodger breached a sexual harm prevention order by failing to register a new Chromebook with police within a month of the order being imposed. His social worker informed police after he asked for money to buy a laptop. Police visited his home on Eastfield Road, Witney, Oxfordshire on September 16, where he initially lied about having the device, which was found under his mattress.
Judge Maria Lamb told Rodger: 'I am quite satisfied you knew perfectly well you should have notified [the police of] the existence of that Chromebook.' Previously spared immediate prison sentence last August for looking at indecent images of children.
Mayowa Joshua

Mayowa Joshua drove a Mercedes belonging to his female passenger on the M40 between junctions 11 for Banbury and 10 for Ardley. He hit the central reservation in a single vehicle crash, causing the car to roll multiple times before stopping. No other vehicles were involved and neither occupant was injured. He initially lied to police claiming the passenger was driving, but admitted he was after being warned of the implications. He had committed similar offences of driving without insurance and licence in the same car three weeks prior.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without third party insurance. Judge Michael Roques commented: 'You lied to police about who was driving. You need to be very careful indeed. You made a sensible decision to admit it was you, which is what is keeping you out of prison.' Had previous similar offences three weeks earlier.

He told officers via Google Translate that he was delivering pizzas but admitted he was desperate and had bought cocaine. He is a Brazilian national of no fixed abode.

Liam Morris

Liam Morris attacked Kailum Day on March 1, after Day witnessed Morris shouting at people from his window, accusing them of being drug dealers. Morris came out with an extendable baton, attempted to hit Day, but Day disarmed him. Morris then punched Day in the jaw, and later retrieved the baton and struck Day in the head. Morris also attacked neighbour Gary Buckel on July 23 in Wallingford town centre, punching him in the face several times during a long-running dispute.
Also handed restraining orders against victim Kailum Day for three years and victim Gary Buckel for five years. Order made for weapon to be destroyed.

Joe Law sent vile messages to eight Facebook profiles purporting to belong to young girls aged 12 to 14 in 2018 and 2019, requesting naked pictures and instructing them to send sexy pics, not tell anybody, and delete conversations. At least five profiles were members of paedophile hunter groups posing as decoys. Conversations continued after arrest. Messages found on his phone showed interactions with additional girls aged 11 to 14.

Johnathon Dobson committed two non-dwelling burglaries, theft from cars and theft of e-bikes in Wallingford on October 15. He smashed a window at Help I've Broken It Store in St Martin's Street, stealing mobile phones and sat navs worth £3,000, causing four days of lost trading. He stole two e-bikes worth £4,030 from Wyatt Way, broke into vehicles stealing a jacket, wallet and brown bag, and burgled a garage taking spirits, Champagne, beer and power tools worth £1,200. On the same day, he drove a van without insurance, without a licence and while under the influence of alcohol.
Also disqualified from driving for 18 months for driving without insurance, without a licence and while under the influence of alcohol.

Jordan Dunn, of Graven Hill Road, Ambrosden near Bicester, sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl on March 9 and 11, 2025. He was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court in 2025 after pleading guilty to two counts of assault by penetration. The assaults robbed the young victim of her innocence. The case was investigated by Thames Valley Police.

Jordon Brook, aged 19 at the time, began a sexual relationship with a girl in her mid-teens after contacting her via Snapchat. They met at his father's home in Cholsey, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Despite a Child Abduction Warning Notice served by police in May 2018 following complaints from the girl's mother about abuse and infidelity, Brook ignored the warning and continued the relationship, exchanging sexualised messages. He had received two other such notices in 2017 and 2019 relating to underage girls. Brook was arrested, admitted continuing to see the victim, and now has intellectual difficulties.
Pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to two counts of sexual activity with a child. Received two prior Child Abduction Warning Notices in 2017 and 2019. Must register as a sex offender for 10 years. Sexual harm prevention order for 10 years limiting access to digital devices. Judge noted it would not affect his behaviour to send him to prison immediately and highlighted age disparity.

Kagiso Manase was among a gang of six convicted at Oxford Crown Court for subjecting seven girls aged 13 to 15 to repeated sexual abuse in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The offenders groomed victims through social media, inviting them to parties before attacking them in vehicles, wooded areas, or their own homes. Manase, 21, from Warwick Road, was convicted of three counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and one count of sexual assault. The trial revealed the crimes were premeditated, leaving victims fearful and manipulated. A 14-year-old survivor described being isolated, assaulted, and psychologically controlled. The guilty verdicts were delivered in March 2015.

Jacquani Phillips raped and sexually assaulted a teenager under 18 near Bicester on Ploughley Road, Ambrosden, Oxfordshire, on October 10, 2021. The victim had taken medication inducing deep sleep. She woke three times to find him raping her, resisted by elbowing him and saying no. Police found videos on his phone from early hours showing him molesting the unresponsive woman, plus an explicit photograph.
Pleaded guilty a month before trial to rape, sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault. Judge Nigel Daly considered life imprisonment and dangerousness provisions but deemed them inappropriate. Restraining order indefinitely banning contact with victim. Registered sex offender for life. Mitigating: immature for age, positive character references, prior conviction for fare dodging.

Jamie Mobbs, 27, a factory cleaner from School View, Banbury, began chatting on Facebook on February 6, 2020, with a decoy account posing as a 13-year-old girl from Watford operated by a paedophile hunter vigilante group. He shared his real name, age and profession, asked for photos in school uniform and underwear, sent pornographic images and three videos of himself performing a sex act, offered £500 to cuddle, kiss and perform a sex act, discussed coming to Watford for sex, and sent a Google Maps link. He was confronted at home on February 9 by the vigilante group and police.
Pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity. No previous convictions. Ordered to pay £1,000 costs, carry out up to 50 rehabilitation days and abide by a 10 year sexual harm prevention order. Registered sex offender for 10 years. Judge Michael Gledhill QC commented on his lonely life and advised against seeking out 13-year-old girls. Mitigating factors included learning difficulties such as autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
Hussein Almiyyahi

Hussein Almiyyahi sexually assaulted three women at Plush Nightclub in Oxford city centre on Saturday, January 17. The first victim felt a hand between her legs while dancing around 12.40am. The second victim, a friend of the first, felt him grab her bottom. The third victim was assaulted twice around 1.45am, with his hand going between her legs, leaving her in tears. Victims identified him; bouncers and police were called. Incidents reported from the nightclub.
Convicted of four counts of sexual assault after trial at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court. Denied the offences. Asylum seeker from Iraq, previously living at Holiday Inn, Grenoble Road. Judge Ian Pringle KC described the behaviour as totally unacceptable.
Ian Bailey
Rape of a child under-13 *

Ian Bailey, 56, of Banbury, Oxfordshire, molested and raped a pre-teen girl on multiple occasions while taking her out in his works van. He groomed her by promising money or meals at McDonald's in exchange for sex. Footage from the van's dash cam captured him asking to take a picture of her private parts, with the girl speaking in a child's voice describing events in a matter-of-fact way. His behaviour was discovered by his boss reviewing the footage.
Found guilty in February of four counts of rape of a child under-13. Pleaded guilty to inciting a child under-13 to engage in sexual activity and making an indecent image of a child. Judge Nigel Daly commented that Bailey took away the girl's childhood and destroyed her adult life to satisfy his deviant sexual interest, and that he presented a risk of serious harm to pre-pubescent girls.

Danny Rayson, 28, from Pine Close, Garsington, failed to stop for police on Purslane Drive on 8 August 2018, then drove at high speed across pavements and recreational grounds, went the wrong way around traffic bollards, making the pursuit too dangerous to continue. He was arrested on 12 April following investigation and later pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and driving without a proper licence. Will face a lengthy driving disqualification after release.
Demitre Clarke-Oliver

Demitre Clarke-Oliver, 24, from Reading, punched PC Raymond Tse in the jaw on 1 October 2016 in Oxford while the officer was attempting to detain his friend on Hythe Bridge Street after a public call for help. The blow fractured PC Tse’s jaw in two places, requiring surgery to insert plates and eight pins. Clarke-Oliver tried to flee but was immediately arrested. He admitted the offence at Oxford Magistrates’ Court and was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court.
Pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm. Attack occurred while PC Tse was detaining a friend. Officer required surgery with plates and eight pins.
Donald Neilson

Donald Neilson kidnapped 17-year-old heiress Lesley Whittle from her home in Highley, Shropshire, on 14 January 1975. He held her captive in a drainage shaft at Bathpool Park, Kidsgrove, Staffordshire, tethered by a wire noose around her neck. After failed ransom attempts, Whittle died around 17 January 1975, likely from vagal inhibition after either falling or being pushed from a ledge. Her body was discovered on 7 March 1975. Neilson, also known as the Black Panther, had a history of burglaries and had murdered three sub-postmasters.
Pleaded guilty to kidnapping, but not guilty to murder, claiming the death was accidental. The jury found him guilty of murder. Judge Mars-Jones stated: 'In your case, life must mean life.'

Guy Sims, from Bedford, engaged in online conversations of a sexual nature with decoys posing as 13-year-old schoolgirls using platforms Mylol and Kik in September 2017 and 2019. Posing as 'markbatx', 'markviva', 'Yo Sarami', and 'Danny.dan', he arranged to meet them for sexual activity, travelling to Portsmouth (arrested with cider, condom, and camouflage netting in car), Guildford, and Oxford.
Found guilty of three counts of arranging or facilitating commission of a child sex offence by unanimous jury following a trial. Will be barred from working as a barrister.
