Andrew Georgiou, 45, drowned his wife Carol in their garden hot tub in Milton Keynes in the early hours of 2 November 2024, after they returned from a night out. The couple were divorcing and disputing financial settlement from the sale of their family home. Around 2am, Carol entered the hot tub and told Georgiou 'I'm done' and 'we're done'. Thirteen minutes later, he pushed her under the water, held her down despite her screams and struggles until she died, and delayed calling emergency services for 40 minutes while moving around the house. CCTV from a neighbouring property captured the incident, contradicting his false claim of finding her already dead.
Pleaded guilty to one count of murder on 9 December 2025. Controlling behaviour included spying on wife with hidden cameras, tracking device, and reading her diary. Lied to paramedics, family, and police about the death being an accident.

Jason King, 55, stabbed his neighbour, Alistair Mahwuto, with a small knife during an ongoing dispute on School Close in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, on 10 May 2024. He then fired multiple shots at police officers from his upstairs window using a crossbow, chased them with the weapon, and shot an officer in the leg, causing a two to three-centimetre wound near an artery. King was subsequently shot by police after refusing to drop the weapon. The incident was partly motivated by his belief that police had mishandled a prior complaint about his windows being broken.
Pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding, possession of a blade or pointed article, possession of an offensive weapon, wounding with intent and affray. Judge noted actions were motivated by revenge and a sense of grievance towards neighbours and police.

He took them to his brother Richard Craig's house in Aylesbury where the brothers raped and sexually abused them while watching pornography.

Detective Constable Emily Sendall described the crimes as 'truly horrendous' and noted that Arshad was a well-respected member of the community until his offences were uncovered.
Omar Makhluf
Dangerous driving whilst unfit through drugs *

Omar Makhluf, 20, of Keel Close, Barking in east London, drove a drugged-up vehicle and ploughed into the central reservation of the M1 motorway’s northbound stretch after Toddington, Bedfordshire, at around 3.30pm on February 16, 2023. Despite severe damage to his car, including a missing wheel, he continued driving for 15 miles on three wheels before pulling over at a service station near Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. He was filmed getting out of the vehicle at junction 14 for Newport Pagnell. During police interview, he struggled to stay awake and yawned while being questioned, and denied dangerous driving when arrested.

Mistry then lost control and crashed head-on into another vehicle, resulting in serious injuries to its front passenger.

This resulted in the death of passenger Alisha Saeed, aged 23, at the scene, and serious injuries to another female passenger in her 20s. He was arrested on the same day and charged later.

Their injuries would have been fatal without medical intervention. Recovery continues more than a year later. Loader was arrested on the night of the attack.

Mary McCann was driving a Vauxhall Astra with three children while under the influence of alcohol. At around 11.10pm on August 9, 2021, on the M1 near Milton Keynes, between junctions 14 and 15, she was driving at 72mph in a 60mph zone. Her car drifted into the lorry's lane, leading to a collision that caused her vehicle to spin. Her children, four-year-old Lilly McCann and 10-year-old Smaller Peter McCann, were not wearing seatbelts; Lilly was thrown from the car and found on the roadside, while Smaller was flung around the backseat and found slumped in the footwell. Both children died at the scene. A two-year-old girl passenger was not badly hurt, and the lorry driver, Simon Denton, suffered whiplash.
Pleaded guilty to the charges. Has complex post-traumatic stress disorder. Judge Francis Sheridan noted that the true punishment lies within her and emphasised the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol.

She sent topless images of herself and a live video of herself masturbating. She met the boy in a private field where they had sex, threatened to 'bring him down' if he revealed the relationship, and later claimed to be pregnant to manipulate him further. This occurred while she worked as a school cover supervisor, breaching her duty to safeguard students.
Found guilty after a retrial. Judge described her actions as beyond despicable and a gross breach of trust. She exploited her position as a teacher for sexual gratification and was sentenced concurrently for other offences.

On the night of 16 January 2017, Sakib Salim, 28, was speeding and racing along Hicks Farm Rise in his black Volkswagen Golf when he ignored a ‘keep left’ bollard, crossed into the wrong lane, and smashed head-on into 28-year-old cyclist David Pickup, who died on the spot. Sakib did not stop at the scene and continued driving towards Totteridge Lane.
Pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. Disqualified from driving for 12 years and three months.

Altaher raped a man in his forties in his own home in Milton Keynes in 2019. He voluntarily attended a police interview in November 2024 and was charged by postal requisition in October 2025.
Found guilty by a unanimous jury of raping a man. Sentence runs concurrently with 10-year sentence already serving for two other rapes of males in Bedfordshire in 2023. Thames Valley Police investigation.

Lisa Macardle, 39, targeted elderly victims aged 91 to 98 across Dorset, Northampton, and Hampshire in a scam where she and unknown accomplices made fake calls posing as bank staff before visiting victims to steal bank cards in person. The fraud resulted in over £10,000 stolen and attempted purchases exceeding £8,000.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of fraud.

Michael Gilhaney from Thorn End, Northampton, carried out two burglaries in Hillingdon during 2023, one involving wielding a machete making it aggravated burglary, and a separate burglary in Hounslow later that year.
Found guilty after trial. Court stated: 'This sentence reflects the serious threat Gilhaney posed, carrying a lethal weapon during his crime spree.'

Trad Almaghrabi, 24, from Uxbridge, drove his blue Mercedes AMG C250 at up to 146mph through a 50mph roadworks limit on the M40 near Beaconsfield, crashing into a Volkswagen Golf at junction 2 and killing driver Naweed Hussain, 27, instantly while seriously injuring the passenger. He fled the scene on foot towards Beaconsfield Services. Police found nitrous oxide, cannabis, and a grinder in and under his car.
Pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. Concurrent 2-year sentence for causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Driving licence disqualified for nearly 12 years with extended test required. Mercedes ordered destroyed. £1,000 court costs.
Tommy Mitchell
Conspiring to commit burglary with intent to steal *

Tommy Mitchell, 25, of Skeltons Drove, Beck Row, Suffolk, used a stolen Land Rover Defender to attempt to steal a cashpoint (ATM) from inside the Nisa convenience store in Stortford Road, Clavering, soon after 3am on December 3, 2023. Shutters were cut to allow entry, tow ropes tied to the machine, and multiple attempts made to pull it out, but failed, raising the alarm. Significant damage caused shop closure for four days and repairs costing thousands.
Admitted the Clavering offence and similar offences across force areas. DNA match from steering wheel of stolen vehicle (one billion to one) and tow strap serial number linked to another theft.
