Pleaded guilty to 26 charges of sexual offences including 12 charges of indecent assault on young boys, nine charges of indecency with a child, and five charges of another illegal sexual act. Ordered to register as a sex offender for life and banned from ever working with children again.

A mobile phone linked to him advertised heroin and crack cocaine between December 2025 and February 2026. On February 19, 2026, police searched his home but he fled in an Audi A3, driving at speed directly at a police officer’s vehicle, forcing her to swerve onto the kerb. The car was abandoned, and Bird was found hiding under another vehicle. Two phones and cannabis were recovered from the Audi.
Pleaded guilty to supplying heroin and cocaine, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance, and possession of cannabis. Eight previous convictions including burglary and driving offences. Judge Rhys Rowlands noted he drove straight at the police car. Extended 28-month driving ban, forfeiture and destruction of phone, and surcharge ordered. Medium risk of reoffending.
