Leigh Ashwell, 37, of no fixed address, targeted parked vehicles across Milton Keynes between June 21 and August 16, 2026. She tried door handles and stole wallets, purses and other personal property, then used stolen bank cards at local petrol stations and shops to make fraudulent purchases. On June 20, she stole a wallet from a vehicle and used the victim's bank cards. A week later, she stole two Amazon parcels from an address in Tinkers Bridge, with the theft captured on doorbell footage. On July 6, she stole bank cards, a driving licence and Meta glasses from a Porsche before using the cards at a petrol station, and she stole a purse and baby changing bag from a Range Rover before using the victim's bank cards at another petrol station.

Pleaded guilty to 18 offences including nine counts of vehicle interference, five counts of fraud by false representation, theft from a shop, theft from the person of another, theft from a motor vehicle and attempted theft from a motor vehicle.
