Dillon responded aggressively, threatening to slash the man. As the victims walked away, Dillon argued with them from behind a fence, pulled out a blade from his pocket, and deliberately slashed all three in the face. One victim suffered a scar from mouth to ear; the victims were fortunate more serious injuries were not caused. Dillon was heavily intoxicated and claimed no memory of the event. The knife was not recovered. CCTV footage and injury photos supported the severity.

He then dismembered the body using a hacksaw in the bedroom and dumped the body parts in bags across Greater Manchester, including Kersal Dale in Salford, Linnyshaw Colliery Woods, Blackleach Country Park in Walkden, land off Chesterfield Close in Winton, and Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley. He was identified via CCTV footage of him boarding a bus near the dump sites and arrested about a month after the killing.

They met in November 2019 in Manchester city centre for a cinema visit. In December 2019, he booked a hotel room where he raped her. He continued booking hotel rooms, forcing her into sex on multiple occasions, and demanded sexual acts over video calls and texts. Separately, in June 2018, he assaulted a couple with a knife after barging into their home.
Found guilty of rape following trial in January 2022; pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child, causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and an unrelated assault. Four prior convictions.

Jonathan Mealing, 52, of Whitefield, Bury (Welbeck Close), controlled and manipulated numerous women, depriving them of independence by restricting contacts, taking driving licences and phones, controlling finances, clothing, food, and demanding sex throughout day and night, including while asleep, raping them multiple times, and using violence if resisted. Affected at least three victims: first had licence and phone taken, belittled, assaulted, deprived of food; second restricted from family/friends, raped, forced oral sex; third forced to quit job, bank account controlled, raped twice, shown making domestic violence gesture on CCTV.
Convicted by jury of 17 offences including multiple rapes, sexual assaults and controlling and coercive behaviour. One prior conviction for domestic violence in 1993. Deemed a dangerous offender by Judge John Potter. Placed on Sex Offenders Register for life and subject to lifelong restraining orders. Must serve 20 years before parole eligibility.

James Peter Farthing, a junior NHS doctor in Stockport, used usernames 'olderc**k' on Kik and Snapchat to communicate with an undercover officer posing as 'Beth', a 13-year-old girl from Liverpool, in March. He asked for photos of her body, shared images of his penis, suggested role play or sex despite her stating her age, and continued sexual conversations after her age was reiterated. He claimed to be 23 from Leeds. Arrested after the operation; admitted shame but gave in to sexual pleasure.

Lawyers mitigating cited long hours during Covid pandemic, wife's health condition, emotional struggles, pornography use and cannabis. Luke Enright acted as a lookout during an attempted armed robbery at a Nisa store on Seamons Road in Altrincham on 6 January 2016. His accomplices, armed with knives, threatened staff and assaulted an employee, causing a head injury. Police caught the trio red‑handed. Enright was part of a gang linked to a crime spree across Trafford, including a midnight robbery at McDonald’s in Broadheath and other locations, with over £10,000 stolen.

Mark Corbett was stopped driving a Volkswagen Caddy on Barton Road in Stretford on 13 August 2014. A police patrol noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from the van, and a search revealed 89 bags each containing four bars of cannabis resin, weighing over 90kg with a street value of £250,000-£380,000. Over £40,000 in cash was also seized. Corbett admitted he was paid £500 to transport the drugs and cash from Scotland to Manchester. He was already on bail for money laundering following a warrant executed at his home in November 2010.

Mark Marfleet
Conspiracy to cause explosions *

In June 2015, Mark Marfleet used oxygen and acetylene gas to cause an explosion at an ATM on Stockport Road at Timperley Post Office. The blast caused extensive interior damage, closing the post office for three months and causing a loss of £15,000 in trade. A single mother and her four-year-old son living in the flat above were left traumatised; the explosion demolished their staircase. He escaped on a motorbike. On 23 September 2015, he carried out a similar attack on a service station ATM in Partington, causing an explosion that blew off the front of the machine, allowing him to steal £41,200 in cash. Oxygen canisters were recovered and linked to his accomplice Paul Warisham.
Laughed in the dock and shouted 'what a result!'. Claimed genuine remorse. Judge Bernard Lever described the conspiracies as serious.

Matthew Sephton, a Conservative councillor for Altrincham and a primary school teacher, was found guilty of making, possessing and distributing indecent images of children. A raid on his home in December 2016 found 31 indecent videos and 3,774 indecent photographs on his devices. He was a member of chat groups dedicated to sharing child abuse images and had exchanged multiple child abuse images with another offender via WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. He claimed a man named 'Tom' was responsible for the images, but this was rejected by the jury.
Found guilty by jury after a five-day trial. Will be placed on the sex offenders' register for life. Claimed a man named 'Tom' was responsible, but the prosecution argued this was a fabrication.
Sebastian Benjamin
Firearm and ammunition possession without certificates *

On 27 January 2020, Sebastian Benjamin was driving a stolen BMW involved in a boot-to-boot transfer of a loaded converted handgun on Reins Lea Avenue, Oldham. Along with Michael McDonagh, he handed over the firearm to other gang members. Armed police intercepted the BMW on Cavendish Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, and recovered the loaded gun with three rounds in it and eleven more bullets in a sock in the boot. He was convicted of firearm and ammunition possession without certificates.

Samiral Choudhury
Sexual assault by penetration of a child under 13, sexual assault of a child under 13, voyeurism *

Samiral Choudhury, a 30-year-old drug dealer from Rochdale, was exposed as a paedophile through advanced fingerprint technology after a routine police stop in June 2017. Initially arrested for drug offences, officers found keys to a locked metal cabinet in his bedroom containing ten child-sized bras and a USB stick with indecent images of children as young as seven. His mobile phone held a 48-second video of sexual abuse of a child aged seven to ten, and still images of a man groping a young girl. He had also filmed an adult woman via a peephole camera and covertly filmed children in public. Specialist officers matched fingerprints from a still in a high-definition video to his fingers, linking him to the material. On 17 February 2020 at Minshull Street Crown Court, he was sentenced to seven years and two months in prison.
Pleaded guilty on the first day of trial to sexual assault by penetration of a child under 13, sexual assault of a child under 13, and voyeurism. Showed remorse; judge noted his embarrassment and willingness to undertake behavioural courses. Also made subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
