The vehicle rolled forward, colliding with his wife Joan and two friends, including 83-year-old Barbara Daniels, who died at the scene from her injuries. His wife sustained a pelvic fracture, and the other friend suffered fractures to her shoulder and back. The incident occurred after Booth had dropped off the passengers, and the car continued forward, striking another vehicle and pushing it through a hedge.
