Paul Mangal, 58, of Hornsey Rise Gardens in Haringey, stole more than £3,000 worth of board games, books, and toys from a Waterstones store on The Broadway in Crouch End between April 2023 and February 2025. He was identified through CCTV footage and police patrols, leading to his arrest on 23 February 2025 after another theft.

Pleaded guilty to 23 charges of theft. Arrested following a Met Police investigation into repeated shoplifting incidents.

Adrian White, 47, sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman on a train travelling from Birmingham New Street to London Euston on 27 June last year. He entered the same carriage as the victim and her friends, bombarded her with inappropriate comments, and when she attempted to leave at Coventry, he sexually assaulted her. The victim and her friends immediately reported the incident to rail staff, resulting in White being ejected from the train and arrested by British Transport Police.

Pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault. Placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
