They filmed themselves having sex and exchanged this footage for live streams of a four-year-old child being abused on the now-defunct chat platform Omegle. The investigation began in December 2021 after intelligence revealed the activity. Andrew was charged with arranging the commission of a child sex offence, pleaded not guilty, but was found guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court on 11 April 2024. She was sentenced to three years' imprisonment on 17 July 2024.
Pleaded not guilty but found guilty following trial. Issued with Sexual Harm Prevention Order and indefinite Notification Requirement Order. Judge Morgan: 'This offence is so serious only a custodial sentence can be justified.'

Gavin Plumb, a 37-year-old security guard, plotted to kidnap, rape, and murder TV presenter Holly Willoughby by breaking into her family home, taking her to a secluded dungeon, and subjecting her to repeated torture before killing her and disposing of her body in a lake. He engaged in online discussions about these plans, which had a life-changing impact on the victim, and was arrested at his flat in Harlow, Essex. The plot was deemed more than a fantasy, despite his claims, and involved elements of his prior attempt to falsely imprison a woman in 2008.
Pleaded not guilty but was convicted by a jury. The judge described the plans as sadistic, brutal, and degrading, and noted that the defendant intended to carry them out with accomplices. Defence counsel highlighted his obsession with the victim and his embarrassment over the online conversations.
T-Jay Shepherd

T-Jay Shepherd, 32, of no fixed abode, was driving a Vauxhall Astra when he failed to stop for police on April 1. The pursuit ended on Victoria Avenue, where he abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly arrested.
Admitted charges of dangerous driving, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance. PC Paul Simmons commented on the risks taken during the chase.
