Kyle Bevan murdered his partner's two-year-old daughter, Lola James, on 17 July 2020 in Haverfordwest by assaulting her, causing a catastrophic brain injury and 101 separate injuries to her body. Instead of calling emergency services, Bevan searched the internet for information on head injuries, took photos and a video of her limp body, and falsely claimed the family dog pushed her down the stairs.
