On the evening of 5 December 2023, Tanya Momot, 31, waited outside the automatic entrance doors of Aldi in Sandyland, Wisbech, while her partner Scott McSpadden entered and picked up four bottles of Irish Country Cream Liqueur worth £19.96. Momot opened the doors from the outside to allow McSpadden to escape with the stolen goods. The following day, the pair entered B&M in Cromwell Retail Park and loaded carrier bags with nine Elle hair straighteners, ten Elle heated hairbrush sets and eight fruity bath fizzers worth a total of £197.71 before being disturbed by staff but managed to run out with the items. They were arrested on 18 December 2023.
Admitted theft from a shop and aiding theft from a shop. Combined total of 120 criminal offences with partner. Additional conditions added to existing Criminal Behaviour Order banning her from Cromwell Retail Park.

Michael King, 43, of no fixed address, stole items including meat, fruit, cheese, alcohol, and small kitchen appliances like a toaster and slow cooker from shops and businesses across Ely, Littleport and Burwell between 19 June and 10 October. He stole from Co-op in Burwell, BP in Ely and Littleport, Specsavers in Ely and Sainsbury’s in Ely. On August 6 he was arrested for being in possession of a wooden baton.
Pleaded guilty to 10 counts of theft, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and two counts of possession of cannabis. Steals to fund drug habit.

Driving while under the influence of drugs *

Road policing officers were on patrol on the A428 in the early hours of 10 August when they spotted a blue Ford Fiesta travelling at speed onto Barford Road. Officers stopped the vehicle and suspected Redman, 37, of Fairfax Court, St Neots, of being under the influence. He blew 33 microgrammes at the roadside, under the legal drink drive limit of 35, but failed a roadside drug wipe for cocaine. In custody, an evidential blood sample showed no less than 800 micrograms of benzoylecgonine per litre of blood, exceeding the legal limit of 50 ug/L.
Admitted driving while under the influence of drugs.

On the evening of 14 October 2023, Miah Ray, 31, of Langley Close, Ramsey, was driving a Ford Transit van erratically in Cambridge. When police activated blue lights and sirens to stop him, he attempted to run off but was arrested. He blew 78 microgrammes per 100ml of breath at the roadside, double the legal limit of 35, and provided an evidential sample of 73 in custody.
Pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Luke Nash, 40, of Lynn Road, Wisbech, engaged in a stealing spree targeting shops in Wisbech from late October to mid-November 2023. He stole items including three boxes of chocolate (£34.50) from Tesco Express on 27 October, fish, steaks, and sausages from Tesco Express on 29 October, a bottle of Moet Champagne (£45) from Tesco Extra on 29 October after trespassing in the staff area, clothes (£100) from Asda on 7 November, electric razors (£200) from Asda on 3 November, confectionary (£18) from Tesco Express on 9 November, steaks and razors (£33) from B&M on 6 November, and a bottle of wine (£9) from Tesco Express on 12 November. On 27 October, he also used threatening language to cause distress. He was arrested on 15 November in an abandoned building in West Street, Wisbech.
Admitted nine offences including multiple thefts and one count of using threatening language. Also subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from entering Horsefair Shopping Centre, Cromwell Road Retail Park, Tesco Extra, Asda, and Tesco Express in Wisbech for five years.
Andrew Hodson

Andrew Hodson, 42, of High Street, Cottenham, was first spotted speeding in a black Mini Cooper on the A10 near Milton at about 9.40pm on Saturday, 27 September 2023. When he pulled into a layby, officers approached but Hodson suddenly accelerated towards the rear of their vehicle, forcing one officer to leap out of the way before he sped off. The pursuit went through Landbeach, where he hit 70mph in a 30mph zone, crossed onto the wrong side of the road and switched off his lights in an attempt to escape. The chase ended in Cottenham when he turned into a dead-end and was arrested after failing a breath test.
Admitted drink driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving without a licence or insurance. PC Freddie Tomalin described Hodson’s driving as extremely reckless, particularly as he was under the influence of alcohol.

Burglary with intent to steal *

Ricky Homer, 35, of Berkley Street, Eynesbury, broke into a car parked in Reeve Way, Godmanchester, on 8 October, stealing a handbag containing bank cards. He was seen on CCTV on a bicycle at around 6am and later attempted to use the victim's bank card at a nearby garage. On 31 October, he walked through a staff entrance to the Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon and stole a backpack containing clothing and other items worth £200. He was spotted on CCTV in Huntingdon wearing some of the clothing and carrying the rucksack. In both instances, Homer was identified by Cambridgeshire Police.
Pleaded guilty to theft from a motor vehicle and burglary with intent to steal.

Sonny Matthews, 33, of Thoday Street, Cambridge, committed a string of offences including common assault, shop theft, bike theft, possession of a knife and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). He stole goods worth more than £1,000 between February 2022 and 2023. Police officers travelled more than 50 miles circling Cambridge on bikes to catch him after he evaded police for some time while continuing to commit crime across the city. He was arrested in the city on Thursday.
Pleaded guilty to common assault, eight breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order and 12 counts of theft.

Rick Sivier, a 62-year-old man from Warren Road, Cambridge, was caught by plain clothes police officers in Cambridge holding a camera bag by the strap and hanging it close to the floor with the lens pointed upwards. He walked through Market Square, Petty Curry, and Rose Crescent approaching women wearing skirts closely. The camera had been recording for 45 minutes when seized. A search of his home uncovered hard drives and SIM cards with further footage. The offence was upskirting under the Voyeurism (Offences) Act 2019.
Made full admissions in interview, admitted it was not the first time he had recorded up skirts of women.

Jason Allum
Breaching a criminal behaviour order *

Jason Allum, 37, of Edgecombe, King’s Hedges, Cambridge, breached his criminal behaviour order (CBO) eight times in six days starting from 5 August 2023. The CBO, issued in April 2023, prohibited him from acting in an anti-social manner causing nuisance, disruption or annoyance within the M11, A14 and A11 areas, and from entering Cambridge city centre except for probation appointments. On 5 August, after release from custody at Parkside Police Station, he was seen begging in Arbury Court and later on CCTV in Trinity Street city centre at 10.20pm. He was arrested on 10 August in Market Street after public and CCTV alerts.
Pleaded guilty to eight counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order. Previously handed a suspended sentence for breaching another CBO in April. Described by police as engaging in relentless and aggressive begging despite available support services.

James Peyton, a 29-year-old of no fixed address, stole five bikes and one e-scooter from Grand Arcade cycle park, St Andrews Street, and Cambridge Station Cycle Park between 12 December 2022 and 21 March 2023. He was arrested with video evidence of the thefts.
Admitted stealing five bikes and one e-scooter, plus one count of theft by finding. Seven further offences of bike theft taken into consideration.

Jamie Goodland, 33, of Vicarage Close, Swaffham Bulbeck, was part of a group of about 12 Extinction Rebellion protestors who targeted Schlumberger Cambridge Research in Charles Babbage Road on 14 and 15 March 2022. The protest began at about 6am on 14 March when the front of the building was blocked with a large wooden tower structure, the rear entrance with a large pink boat and a metal tripod, and a padlock was placed on a gate. Some protestors climbed on top of the structures while others lay on the ground. On 15 March, police asked the protestors to leave under Section 69 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, but Goodland refused to comply and was arrested.
Found guilty of criminal damage and a Section 68 public order offence. Denied the charges.

Christopher Ford, 45, of Carlton Way, Cambridge, was part of a group of about 12 Extinction Rebellion protestors who targeted Schlumberger Cambridge Research in Charles Babbage Road on 14 and 15 March 2022. The protest began at about 6am on 14 March when the front of the building was blocked with a large wooden tower structure, the rear entrance with a large pink boat and a metal tripod, and a padlock was placed on a gate. Some protestors climbed on top of the structures while others lay on the ground. On 15 March, police asked the protestors to leave under Section 69 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, but Ford refused to comply and was arrested. Ford also caused criminal damage to a fence with pink paint. Police seized the pink boat, tripod, lock-on devices and a pink bridge structure.
Found guilty of criminal damage as well as Section 68 and 69 public order offences. Denied the charges.

Leroy Meads
Shop theft and breach of Criminal Behaviour Order *

Leroy Meads, 32, of Cornfield Lane, Littleport, stole food and drink worth £120 from the Co-Op in Main Street, Littleport on 31 December and 3 January. On 3 January, he also stole goods worth £56 from the Co-Op in Wisbech Road, Littleport. He was captured on CCTV in all three offences and identified by police.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of shop theft and breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). Described as a prolific thief with countless thefts. His two-year CBO not to enter any Co-Op in Littleport remains in place until May 2024.

Breach of Criminal Behaviour Order *

Earl Allen, 50, of Towler Street, Peterborough city centre, breached his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) issued on 12 August, which prevents him from causing anti-social behaviour including approaching people to ask for money. On 7 November, he was spotted on CCTV in Cathedral Square, Long Causeway, and Broadway approaching members of the public with his hands in a pleading motion. He was arrested in Fitzwilliam Street. Additional breaches occurred on 1 November when he approached an off-duty council enforcement officer in Oundle Road, Woodston, and on 2 November in the city centre.
Admitted three breaches of his Criminal Behaviour Order by asking people for money.
