Ismael Ahmedi Farzanda, as company director of The Polish Shop Ltd on Deardengate in Haslingden, sold an oversized disposable vape to a 14-year-old volunteer during a test purchase in January 2025. Further inspections revealed a hidden compartment containing 85 packets of non-standardised cigarettes, five pouches of hand-rolling tobacco, and 60 oversized non-compliant vapes. In a June 2025 visit, an officer was sold illicit cigarettes at a reduced price, leading to the seizure of additional illicit items. All confiscated products were illegal due to issues like excessive nicotine strength and lack of proper labelling.

Pleaded guilty to the supply of illegal tobacco and vaping products. The penalty was imposed against both the firm and the individual.
