Launched himself across nightclub dance floor in Newport on March 28, smashed glass into victim's face leaving lower part of left ear sliced away and deformed, threw victim into table.

On April 23, Aladje Balde arrived at the Greggs store in Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay, before it had opened. He attempted to intimidate the manager by getting close to his face and grabbing his shirt collar. He slapped a staff member who called the police across the face. At a nearby Tesco Express, he punched a security guard twice in the mouth, directed a racial slur at him calling him a “f****** Pakistani” and threatened to kill him. He kicked another colleague twice in the leg. He then kicked a passing taxi near Cardiff Bay police station and punched a police officer in the face, causing extensive bruising to her eye. Balde had consumed a mixture of codeine and promethazine (“Lean”) and was intoxicated. He had three previous convictions including possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of a knife, and had previously served a three-year prison sentence.

Antonio Villafane subjected his partner to a six-year campaign of violence and controlling behaviour after they met in 2015. He used her £250,000 divorce settlement to buy a secluded off-grid woodland site in his own name. Over the following years he strangled her to unconsciousness more than ten times, dragged her by the hair, pressed a knife to her throat, threatened to chop her up and feed her to their dogs, burnt her with a hot fire poker, beat her with a walking stick, tied her hands and feet and forced her head into dirty water, pulled out her hair and forced her to cut it off, made her wear a hijab to cover bruises, and forced her to pray naked outside in winter. He also threatened to kill her children and family. She left him in 2023 after he tried to strangle her while forcing her to eat a Chinese meal, and he was arrested in June 2023 following a police manhunt; he later went on the run for over a year before being tracked down.

On 26 September 2024, Morgan Davison attended the victim’s home in Cardiff following a dispute over a £1,000 car engine sale with her husband. He became aggressive, threatened to kill her, then deliberately reversed his Volkswagen Taigo into her repeatedly. The third impact sent her flying and pinned her beneath the car for 90 minutes while her children screamed from a window. She suffered fractured ribs, injuries to her torso, arms and legs, and a haematoma to her head, requiring hospital treatment. The victim described lasting physical and mental harm.

Overnight on 28 May 2021, broke into the Mountbatten Hospice warehouse on Riverway, Newport and stole two computer monitors. On 30 May at around 10.30pm, forced entry to a residential address on Riverway, Newport, threatened elderly occupant (aged in his 80s) with a knife demanding money and bank card PIN, took cash, bank card and mobile phone. On 4 June in the early hours, entered a house in Nunnery Lane, threatened elderly occupants (both aged in their 80s) with a knife, demanded £1,000 cash, ordered them to drive to a cashpoint in Newport where they withdrew cash at knifepoint, then demanded to be driven out of town before fleeing at the top of Cedar Hill. Arrested later that morning at Costa in Lower St James Street, Newport.
