Kevin De Carteret, a rogue landlord from Bristol, confronted his female tenant and handed her an illegal eviction notice when she asked for notice before visiting the property after finding him using the bathroom. The tenant was forced to stay due to lack of affordable housing that allowed her dog. During this time, he threatened to remove the fridge, cancelled the cleaner for communal areas, and changed house rules to ban pets.
Councillor Tom Renhard described the behaviour as deplorable and was glad to see a strict sentence handed out.

Panagiotis Pitoulias, a 30-year-old lorry driver from Albert Place, Portishead, caused serious injury to a female pedestrian by careless or inconsiderate driving on May 23, 2023, in Melvin Square, Bristol. The pedestrian was bleeding from the head and was taken to hospital, where her condition was not life-threatening. Witnesses, including the owner of a nearby fish bar, assisted at the scene, and the area was cordoned off by police for several hours.
Indicated a guilty plea on July 16. His guilty plea was taken into account when sentenced. Must complete unpaid work by February 19, 2026. Also ordered to pay £114 surcharge and £85 costs.

Sain Jadama, a 25-year-old man from Henbury, repeatedly breached court orders related to anti-social behaviour in Castle Park. He was arrested by neighbourhood officers tackling issues of anti-social behaviour and crime in the park. The new Criminal Behaviour Order restricts him from entering Castle Park.

Mahamoud Jama, 57, of St Pauls, ran Euro Discounts in Stapleton Road, Bristol, selling illegal oversized vapes and illicit tobacco. Trading Standards officers and Avon and Somerset Police visited in October 2024, seizing 219 vapes (some containing up to ten times the 2ml legal nicotine limit, none MHRA approved) and 774 packets of illegal cigarettes worth £5,500. Further illegal items found in October 2025 after prior closure order in February 2025 extended in May.
Pleaded guilty to six tobacco and vape offences. Forfeiture of illegal products ordered. Shop contributed to anti-social behaviour in the area. Prior closure order issued.

Giuseppe Sutera breached an Emergency Prohibition Order (EPO) served by South Gloucestershire Council’s Private Sector Housing Team by continuing to let a property in Patchway with serious fire safety issues, including a Category 1 hazard for fire due to no safe escape route, shared kitchen in the main escape route, no fire doors to bedrooms, no working smoke alarms, and a blocked secondary escape route. He also failed to respond to a notice requiring his address and property details.
Found guilty in absence after refusing to identify himself, claiming to be 'a man' and that Joe Sutera was 'lost at sea'. Record fine secured by South Gloucestershire Council’s Public Sector Housing Team.

On the afternoon of Wednesday 4 February, Mr Blackwood approached two young girls under the age of 16 who were walking home from school near Bath and asked them a sexually explicit question before running off. The incident was reported by the mother of one of the victims to police. Following a swift investigation, Mr Blackwood was arrested.
Pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual communication with a child, failing to comply with requirements of the Sex Offenders' Register, and breaching a sexual harm prevention order. Will remain on the Sex Offenders' Register for the next 10 years and must pay a £187 victim surcharge and £84 towards court costs.
