The incident occurred after he accused her of sleeping with someone else while he was in custody. When she regained consciousness, he was crying and said he thought he had killed her as her eyes rolled back. The following month, Berry smashed a mirror in the woman's home in front of her nine-year-old daughter during an argument; the daughter punched him to the ground, after which he punched a hole in the bedroom door. Despite a non-molestation order granted in April prohibiting contact, Berry was spotted outside her home, drove past her parents' home multiple times, and bombarded her with calls from a withheld number, forcing her to turn off her phone. The victim has since moved home and is suffering from not sleeping or eating properly. There is no medical evidence linking a bleed on the amniotic sac to the strangulation.
Pleaded guilty to common assault, breach of a non-molestation order, breach of a restraining order, and criminal damage. Also admitted to breaching his two-year suspended sentence. Naveed Ishaq
Possession of indecent images of children *
Sentence
2 years imprisonment
Naveed Ishaq downloaded almost 400,000 indecent images of children (31,307 category A, 29,256 category B, 327,531 category C) between March 2017 and August 2020. Images included children aged from one-year-old to 17, many appearing distressed and in severe pain. He also had 47 images of extreme pornography involving animals, including a video featuring a child, and a 120-page paedophile manual on 'how to practice child love'. Ishaq used chat rooms to request child porn, employed secretive browsers, and searched terms like 'pre-teen hardcore' and 'rape'. He was identified through a National Crime Agency investigation into a New Zealand-based file sharing website Mega.NZ, with six email addresses traced to his Bolton address. Police seized multiple devices from his home on Langthorne Walk, Bolton, uncovering the material.
Pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity. Previous good character. Wife entirely dependent on him. Must serve half before release on licence. Sexual harm prevention order for 10 years. Judge noted the grotesque amount of material and systematic searching over an extended period, justifying immediate custody.

On May 10, he threw a ladder at her while she was outside smoking, spat in her nose and eye, and punched her three to four times, again knocking her out.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Has 21 convictions for 52 offences, many for violence. Diagnosed with emotionally unstable personality disorder. Police seized his phone containing over 1,200 indecent images, including 364 in the most serious category, of girls as young as two or three. One victim described him as very controlling and noted encouragement to self-harm.
Pleaded guilty to multiple counts including making and distributing indecent photographs of a child, sexual activity with a child, and inciting child pornography. Indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order imposed. Judge commented on predatory behaviour and impact on vulnerable victims.
Harry Stevenson
Assault occasioning actual bodily harm *
Sentence
8 months imprisonment suspended for 18 months
Harry Stevenson, 19, of Chequers Street, Wigan, along with three others, returned to attack Aiden Harrison on King Street West on April 11, 2021, after a lengthy discussion earlier in the evening. Stevenson used a metal pole to hit Mr Harrison in the head and body. The attack, captured on CCTV, lasted less than a minute and left the victim with injuries to his torso, chest, and arm. Stevenson had been present earlier around 8pm when Mr Harrison was allegedly attacked by a different group but did not participate then. Following that, Mr Harrison demanded an apology and suggested fighting if not given. Police arrested Stevenson nearby and found the metal pole in a bush. The victim reported physical pain, trauma, and anxiety.
Pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm at the first opportunity. No previous convictions but had a caution in July 2020 for carrying a screwdriver. Assessed at low risk of reoffending. Judge described the incident as a 'nasty and brutal attack' and noted concerns about arming himself on a second occasion.

He fraudulently adapted tenancy deposit protection documents to disguise irregularities.
