Tahir collided with them, killing both women at the scene and seriously injuring Mr Heap. Vehicle and mobile phone GPS data revealed he was travelling at 98mph five seconds before the impact.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. GPS data from his vehicle and mobile phone was used to prove he was driving at 98mph in heavy rain. Also received a 16-year driving ban.

On 28 April 2025, Kemuel Gambicky-Forbes fatally stabbed Leon Anderson outside Anderson's home in Maple Close, Mitcham. The two were known to each other, and a confrontation began after Anderson called 999 to report a man threatening him with a knife. The argument continued while police were on the line, and Anderson was stabbed. Despite efforts by officers and paramedics, he died at the scene. Multiple witnesses, including neighbours and a tradesman, saw the attack. Gambicky-Forbes fled through nearby woods, later presenting at a police station. He claimed Anderson had tried to run him over, but a jury convicted him of murder.
Claimed self-defence; jury rejected his account. Neighbours and the victim's wife witnessed the fatal stabbing.

Keith Davies, former head of sport for UK Athletics, erected a throwing cage at Newham Leisure Centre on 10 July 2017 for para‑athlete Abdullah Hayayei’s training. The cage was not properly secured – the required metal weights were not used – and the following day it collapsed in high winds, striking and killing Mr Hayayei. An investigation revealed a history of failing to secure the cage and serious shortcomings in health and safety management by UK Athletics. Davies was also charged with gross negligence manslaughter but pleaded guilty to the health and safety offence.

On 19 December 2023, Ali Abdul Basit, then 17, was part of a masked gang that lured drug dealer Michael Peixoto, 27, to Mayfield Crescent in Thornton Heath, Croydon, under the pretence of a drug purchase. The gang, travelling in a stolen BMW, confronted Peixoto and his female friend. Peixoto was chased, cornered and fatally stabbed in the heart. Basit held a knife to the female friend, forcing her from the car. Basit fled abroad for two years before being arrested on return to the UK. His DNA was found on a cigarette butt at the scene.
Found guilty after trial of manslaughter and robbery. Judge condemned 'shocking level of violence' and 'cowardly' decision to flee. Refused to identify another suspect.

Craig Anthony Anderson, 38, of no fixed address, committed a series of sexual offences against women on the railway network in London and Surrey between June and October 2025. On 14 June 2025 at Bank Underground Station, he followed a young woman up stairs, made unwanted sexual comments, and sexually assaulted her after she asked him to leave, laughing as he walked away. On 26 June 2025, he exchanged numbers with a woman on a train at Guildford, then harassed her by text with sexual messages and images; on 15 July 2025, after she refused to meet, he followed her from Epsom station onto a train to Victoria, verbally abused her and tried to snatch her belongings, causing her to hide in toilets at Canary Wharf. On 2 August 2025, near Liverpool Street station, he tapped a woman's arm, demanded her social media details, and sexually assaulted her when she refused. On 29 August 2025, at Westminster Underground station, he asked a woman for directions, followed her up an escalator, sexually assaulted her and laughed. On 6 October 2025, at Purley railway station, he engaged a woman in conversation about directions, boarded the same train, asked personal questions, and sexually assaulted her when she threatened to report him, blocking her path until she escaped at Redhill. British Transport Police identified him from CCTV; victims picked him out in an ID parade. He was arrested at the Passport Office while claiming he intended to leave the UK. He made derogatory comments about the victims and denied presence despite CCTV evidence. Detective Constable Libby Wildego called him 'a dangerous predator who preyed on women for his own sexual gratification', noting he smirked during questioning and left court before his sentencing. He was sentenced on 23 March 2026 at the Old Bailey to one year and ten months in prison.

The dish shattered on Mizen's chin, and a glass shard pierced his neck, severing the carotid artery and jugular veins, causing fatal blood loss.

He carried out sexual assaults once alone with them. The investigation began in 2019 when the victims came forward to the Metropolitan Police. Klein was charged on 11 June 2022 with five counts of sexual activity with a child and was found not guilty on two additional similar counts. The trial was held at Harrow Crown Court, and sentencing took place at the Old Bailey.

They were challenged by Xhovan Pepaj, who was fatally stabbed. Stewart called 999 in fear and was heard shouting to Amoako to stab Mr Pepaj.

15-year-old Adam Gosling died in April 2007 after an unsupervised seven-metre-high unstable wall fell on him while he was working as a labourer for Colin Holtom's building company at a site in Hadley Wood, north London. No safety equipment such as hard hats or protective boots was provided, only a sledgehammer and pneumatic drill. Holtom instructed Adam to prop up the leaning wall from the neighbour's garden instead of intervening himself.
Pleaded guilty to manslaughter by gross negligence and running a company while disqualified from being a director. Judge Christopher Moss stated Holtom bore the lion’s share of the blame and adopted a cavalier and irresponsible attitude to safety.

On 14 March 2018 at 22:27hrs, Lyndon Davis, 18, was stabbed multiple times in a walkway on Arneways Avenue in Romford, metres from his home, after being followed by a group in a car and on a moped. Two of the males followed the initial attacker into the walkway armed with knives. The group fled in the same moped and car. CCTV and phone data linked them. Victim pronounced dead next morning from stab wounds to lower legs.
Found guilty after a three-month trial. Denied involvement. Part of a gang that targeted the victim as he was believed to be associated with a rival gang.
Constance Marten

Constance Marten and Mark Gordon went on the run with their newborn daughter Victoria in January 2023 to avoid social services after their four other children were taken into care. Victoria's body was found in a Lidl shopping bag in an allotment on 1 March 2023. Prosecutors stated she may have died from hypothermia or smothering while co-sleeping and was poorly clothed.

Edward McKenzie-Green, Oxfam's former head of counter-fraud, stole nearly £65,000 from the charity by making payments to fictitious firms between February and December 2011 while investigating misconduct by aid workers in earthquake-hit Haiti. He filed 17 bogus invoices from two companies over nine months. He resigned in 2011 with a £29,000 'golden handshake'. He pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey in March 2014.
Pleaded guilty in March 2014 to making £64,612.58 in payments from Oxfam to fictitious firms between February and December 2011. He was head of counter-fraud at Oxfam. Addiction to prescription medication, marital problems, and spent time in a psychiatric hospital mentioned. Judge Wendy Joseph stated: 'The consequences of your conduct are grave indeed. You have taken from those who desperately need it substantial sums of money. Worse, you have undermined the public confidence in a charitable institution.'

Elliott Robinson, 22, was a participant in the deliberate arson attack at a home in Centurion Square, Woolwich, where petrol was set alight outside the front door. The blaze killed 46-year-old Memunatu Warne from smoke inhalation. Two cousins who attempted to rescue her were seriously injured after jumping from an upstairs window. Witnesses saw a pillion passenger on a motorbike set the fire before fleeing. The attack stemmed from a drugs dispute linked to a family member of the cousins.

Emdadul Islam

On 12 October 2017, a fight broke out on Plashet Road in Newham, East London. Emdadul Islam, who had been getting a haircut nearby, retrieved a baseball bat from his car and struck 31-year-old Titu Miah twice on the head, causing a fractured skull. Mr Miah died five days later. Islam was arrested after his solicitor contacted police on 23 October 2017. He was found guilty of manslaughter and also pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon.

On 3 January 1804, 29-year-old excise officer Francis Smith shot and killed bricklayer Thomas Millwood near Beavor Lane in Hammersmith, mistaking Millwood's white work clothes for the shroud of a ghost amid local ghost panic reports. Smith was armed with a shotgun as part of civilian patrols formed due to ghost sightings.
Initially sentenced to death for murder by Lord Chief Baron Sir Archibald Macdonald; sentence commuted by the King. Jury initially returned verdict of manslaughter but was directed to find guilty of murder.
Frederick Guy Browne

On 26 September 1927, Frederick Guy Browne and William Henry Kennedy stole a Morris Cowley car in Billericay, Essex. While driving through Stapleford Abbotts, they were stopped by PC George Gutteridge. Browne shot the officer twice in the cheek, then shot him in each eye after saying 'What are you looking at me like that for?'. The pair fled and abandoned the car in Stockwell, London. Forensic analysis of a rare cartridge case found in the vehicle linked the murder to Browne's Webley revolver. Both men were arrested in January 1928.
Browne was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death. He denied the charges and attempted suicide before his execution. He was hanged at Pentonville Prison on 31 May 1928.
