Siviter stumbled to a neighbouring house for help and was pronounced dead at the scene on Lambourn Drive just before midnight. Sainz-Stafford fled but handed himself in to police the following day.

He bombarded her with messages alternating between declarations of love and abuse, threatened self-harm with a knife to his throat, made unwanted visits to her house, chalked 'daddy loves mummy' on her driveway, implied sexual relations with her friends, and blamed her for the issues citing menopause. This caused significant fear, anxiety, and mental health impacts to the victim and her mother, as well as financial strain due to lack of support. The victim made 12 statements regarding breaches.
