On May 17, Tomasz Zielonka, 32, from Southampton, crashed his Ford C-Max into a Mazda on Bassett Avenue around 7pm, hours after undergoing surgery requiring general anaesthetic. Released at 4.45pm, he ignored medical advice not to drive, felt dizzy and numb in his feet while driving after an argument with his girlfriend, and tests confirmed anaesthetic drugs in his system. No one was hurt in the collision.
Found guilty of driving while unfit through drugs. Must pay £620 in court costs and £55 victim surcharge.

On Friday 13 November 2020, PCSOs on patrol in St Mary’s Street saw a group of people exceeding the maximum number of people allowed to gather under the Covid restrictions. One of the PCSOs approached the group to engage and explain the Covid rules however Safi started shouting abuse at him. Safi was charged and pleaded guilty to using threatening / abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at an earlier hearing in March 2021.

Wesley Mustapha, a drag performer who also uses the stage names Wezley Sebastian and Cassidy Connors, was observed pleasuring himself on a crowded train travelling from Bournemouth to Portsmouth on a Sunday morning. The carriage contained children as young as ten. Witnesses asked him to stop. He had been on a heavy night drinking in Bournemouth before boarding. He was arrested at Southampton Central on 29 January. At his trial, which he did not attend, he told officers that he was 'very liberal' about his body.
Pleaded not guilty to exposure but convicted in absentia. Required to register as a sex offender for five years. Ordered to pay £620 court costs and an £85 victim surcharge. Also admitted to possessing cannabis at time of arrest.

Ian Gregory, 49, of Briton Street, Southampton, was stopped by police on St John's Drive, Marchwood, on 25 May after a tip-off that he was driving drunk from the Pilgrim House pub. A roadside breath test revealed he was over the legal alcohol limit. He was arrested and later pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. It was his third drink-driving offence; he had previously been banned for 20 months after twice being caught leaving the same pub in November 2014.

Electronically tagged for 3 months, rehabilitation activity required, £85 prosecution costs, shard of glass forfeited for destruction. Daniel Parker, 41, of Aldwick Close, Farnborough, stole food and red wine worth £63.70 from M&S at the BP fuel station on Prospect Road on 23 April and 24 April. The first theft occurred hours after he was handed a suspended sentence and three-year Criminal Behaviour Order at Basingstoke Magistrates Court for shoplifting at the same store. The Criminal Behaviour Order banned him from entering the fuel station and shop on Prospect Road and required him to place all items in baskets or trolleys and leave the premises if asked to do so. He was arrested, charged, pleaded guilty, and jailed.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order. Previously handed a suspended sentence and three-year Criminal Behaviour Order at Basingstoke Magistrates Court for shoplifting at the same store.

He was reported to the police. The messages caused the woman massive anxiety and she sought PTSD assessment, feeling emotionally exhausted from his stalking of her account.
Pleaded guilty to disclosing private sexual photographs without consent with the intention of causing distress. Must complete 15 rehabilitation activity days, pay £500 compensation, £128 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Subject to a restraining order for two years and three months. District Judge Peter Greenfield noted he intended to humiliate his victim.

Malachi Bates became obstructive, abusive and threatening towards venue staff at Pop World in Southampton on the evening of Tuesday 22 February after they requested he vacate the premises. Upon police arrival, he became aggressive and abusive towards officers, assaulting two police officers. The abuse continued while transported to Southampton General Hospital for treatment of a previous medical condition, where he was threatening towards hospital staff.
Pleaded guilty to both offences. Suspended sentence for a prior incident was activated.
