On August 21, 2025, at 1.20pm, Erika Waring drove into a restricted area near the main entrance of Wilmslow railway station to drop off her 88-year-old mother with severe mobility issues for a train trip to London. After being asked to move her vehicle, she unleashed foul-mouthed abuse at station staff, repeatedly using the F-word and calling one porter a 'f****** b****'. She parked nearby, obstructing buses, and continued the abuse on the platform, telling another employee 'F*** you, f****** t***! You do not know what you are talking about!' Police were called, and she was interviewed under caution, explaining she parked temporarily to assist her mother.
Pleaded guilty to two charges of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress. Of good character prior to incident. Judge commented it was a very unpleasant and unacceptable display of behaviour.

Carl Proctor, 41, from Chell Heath Road, Chell Heath, attempted to steal £147 worth of equipment from B&Q in Crewe, breaching a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order issued last September that banned him from all B&Q stores in Cheshire. This incident occurred after he had previously committed a crime spree starting on 16 July last year, including stealing a Sharp TV from Tesco, £1,000 in power tools from B&Q on 22 July, £800 in electrical items 12 days later, and attempting to steal a Lay Z Spa, outdoor lights, and a plant from the same B&Q, during which he assaulted a security guard by pushing him while fleeing. He was also sentenced concurrently for possession of monkey dust and cannabis.
Sentenced for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order, theft of £147 in equipment, and two drug offences (possession of monkey dust and cannabis). Sentence to run concurrently with an existing six-month sentence. Ordered to pay £147.95 in compensation. Previously received a community order and five-year CBO in September last year for four counts of shop theft and assaulting a security guard.

Samuel Holliday, 31, of Shaw Close, Congleton, targeted the Shell Garage on Clayton Bypass, Farm Foods in Barn Road, Congleton, and Morrisons Daily on St Johns Road, Congleton, on two occasions, stealing more than £400 worth of goods in November. He was captured on CCTV and arrested on 7 December. Stolen trainers, perfume, and electrical items were found at his address. On September 6, drugs and a razor blade were discovered in his bag during a stop-search in Congleton.
Changed plea to guilty to four counts of theft from a shop and one count of handling stolen goods. Found guilty of possession of a blade in a public place. Previously admitted to possession of Class B and Class C drugs.

Saeed Malik, of Malkin Way, Middleport, was part of a county lines gang from Stoke-on-Trent operating in Crewe, selling crack cocaine and heroin. On December 13, 2023, he was driving a Toyota Prius taxi stopped by police, with Tahir Darr as passenger. The ‘graft’ phone used by the gang was located in the vehicle. A small bag in the centre console contained £1,600 cash and Malik’s ID card. Searches of his home revealed £2,500 in cash and several mobile phones. The gang used mobiles to send bulk text messages to users offering drugs.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine) and one count of possession of criminal property. High-level dealer in county lines gang.

Tahir Darr, of Lyndhurst Street, Burslem, was part of a county lines gang from Stoke-on-Trent operating in Crewe, selling crack cocaine and heroin. On December 13, 2023, he was stopped in a Toyota Prius taxi driven by Saeed Malik. Darr was found in possession of £4,450 worth of heroin and crack cocaine. A bag in the rear contained a further £3,050 worth of crack cocaine. Searches of his home revealed £2,500 in cash and several mobile phones. The gang used mobiles to send bulk text messages to users offering drugs.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine) and one count of possession of criminal property. High-level dealer in county lines gang.

He was identified from CCTV footage and arrested. A few weeks later, on Wednesday 26 November 2025, he stole £400 from the till of a market stall at the Grosvenor Centre in Macclesfield by filling his pockets with the money. He was witnessed on CCTV, located nearby, and arrested with the stolen money recovered.
Pleaded guilty to theft and burglary offences. Banned from entering Macclesfield town centre.

Kelvin Palin, a 22-year-old man, assaulted a woman at an address in Crewe in 2023. He was convicted of two counts of assault by beating. This sentencing extends his existing prison term for another violent offence.
Pleaded not guilty but found guilty. Currently serving 41 months for intentional strangulation and assault occasioning actual bodily harm from April conviction. PC Ryan Foster hopes the sentence will curb his violent behaviour.

Phillip Walsh failed to provide adequate care for his two dogs, Duke and Queenie. Duke, a male bull-breed dog, was severely emaciated with a body condition score of zero out of nine, dehydrated, and was euthanised to end his suffering. Post-mortem results indicated prolonged starvation. Queenie, a female bull-breed dog, was also emaciated with a body condition score of one to two, had untreated fleas, overgrown nails, and no access to water. This neglect occurred at Walsh's address in November, leading to Queenie's removal and rehoming after veterinary treatment.
Pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to his two dogs.

Jack McGregor attacked his partner during an argument about loud music in the early hours of April 2. He took her phone, shoved her onto the stairs causing her to fall and hit her head, and left her whispering in fear. A neighbour heard screaming and alerted the police, who arrived 12 minutes later and found the victim distressed.
Pleaded not guilty but was found guilty in trial. The victim did not support the prosecution, but evidence from police body-worn footage and witnesses was used. He was a serving police officer at the time and was intoxicated.

Toby Gunter, of Mainwaring Road in Over Peover, smashed a number of eggs and set alight egg boxes in the kitchen of the Parkgate Inn on Stocks Avenue on December 28, 2023. This act caused damage, leading to police involvement and his subsequent guilty plea.

Steven Wright, 38, harassed his neighbour Colin Jones between October 2019 and April 2021 in Hampson Crescent, Handforth. The dispute began with a strongly-worded note on Mr Jones' car about parking. Suspected vehicle damage followed, leading to a verbal confrontation in February 2020 where Wright pushed Mr Jones' chin with a clenched fist and commented on his breath. The next day, Wright posted a toothbrush and toothpaste through Mr Jones' letterbox in retaliation. Mr Jones installed CCTV, which Wright obstructed with opaque plastic in April 2021. The harassment caused Mr Jones significant anxiety, stress, financial loss, and forced him to move. Wright was reported to police and sentenced on March 29, 2022.
Pleaded guilty to harassment without violence. Denies damaging vehicles. Defence noted it was a small number of incidents over a long period stemming from a parking dispute.

On December 4, 2019, at around 3pm, Jack Homan, driving a black BMW on Middlewich Road in Holmes Chapel, was involved in a minor collision with a Renault Megane and a Maserati Ghibli. The drivers exchanged details at the scene, and Homan left before stopping at a nearby petrol station. An off-duty Inspector Simon Dixon spoke with him, suspecting alcohol consumption, but Homan drove off. He was arrested shortly after at his home on Corbett Road, Moston, following a breath test confirming he was nearly four times over the limit.
Pleaded guilty to drink driving. Breath test showed 137 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, nearly four times over the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
