Possession with intent to supply a Class A drug *
Sentence
2 years and 10 months imprisonment
Jordan Jones, 29, of Stad Cae Rhun, Cemaes Bay, Anglesey, was involved in supplying drugs. Police, acting on intelligence, searched his home on Boxing Day and found a black Adidas rucksack containing snap bags for cocaine, cash, scales, and a Motorola phone. In the house, they discovered a Heinz tomato soup tin with sealed bags for cocaine, totaling 30g of high-purity cocaine worth between £2,361 and £5,059. Additionally, a gold-coloured knuckleduster, a stun device disguised as a mobile phone, and £2,000 in cash from drugs were found. Jones had fallen behind on loan repayments, leading to debt, and made a foolish decision to offend after social use of cannabis and cocaine. He bought the knuckleduster online but never brandished it in public. He regrets his actions and has a daughter and young brother affected.
Pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug, possession of criminal property - cash - and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. No separate penalty for criminal property or weapons offence. Judge noted expectation of significant financial reward and worrying possession of weapons indicating preparedness to use them if needed.
