In the house, they discovered a Heinz tomato soup tin with sealed bags for cocaine, totaling 30g of high-purity cocaine worth between £2,361 and £5,059. Additionally, a gold-coloured knuckleduster, a stun device disguised as a mobile phone, and £2,000 in cash from drugs were found. Jones had fallen behind on loan repayments, leading to debt, and made a foolish decision to offend after social use of cannabis and cocaine. He bought the knuckleduster online but never brandished it in public. He regrets his actions and has a daughter and young brother affected.

He drove towards Llyn Tegid with 18-year-old passenger Levi Douglas, who described the driving as too fast, jerky, and subpar for road conditions. Owen lost control on a bend on the A494 near Llanycil, hitting a tree and then a wall. Douglas suffered five spinal fractures, whiplash, bruising to hip and left shoulder, requiring a back brace and lengthy recovery, potentially ending his dream of joining the army. Owen was not wearing a seatbelt and was flung around. Breath test showed 83mg alcohol in breath (limit 35mg) and 129mg in blood (limit 80mg). Owen asked a friend to take him home post-crash before returning to the scene.

He called his cousin for a ride and sought hospital treatment the next day, sustaining bruises, swelling, welts, grazes to his left eye, upper lip and back, facial pain for two weeks, difficulty concentrating, and concussion. His hand injuries affected his work as a self-employed window and door fitter and surveyor. The brothers initially denied the assault, claiming they had not met Benjamin that night.

Searches of the car revealed plastic bags with wraps of white powder (cocaine), a lunchbox with green blocks (cannabis resin), two iPhones, and cash. Further searches of his home and the storage container uncovered snap bags, scales, more white powder, and additional cash. The cocaine had a potential street value of £8,000 to £12,700, and the cannabis resin £500 to £900, totaling up to £13,600. Pritchard claimed the drugs were for personal use and made no comment about the container items.

Jones invited Lloyd to his room, drank whisky, and became aggressive. When Lloyd tried to leave after feeling uncomfortable, Jones kicked him full force on the right thigh, continued kicking his legs and ribs, punched his face and body, and put him in a headlock causing asphyxia and difficulty breathing. Lloyd later discovered two small wounds on his right ankle resembling cigarette burns, plus bruises on arms, legs, and left eye socket. Police arrested Jones, who gave no comment in interview. The assault led to a decline in Lloyd's mental health, heavy drinking, freezing at sight of similar-looking people, and avoidance of areas where Jones might live.
